Why stick with just one instrument?
Not content with only playing drums, Elise found that pushing herself to take up guitar, bass, keys, and singing gave her the freedom to shape the ideas in her head without limitation. Increasing her musicality ended up improving her skills in the studio and as a songwriter. This exploration and confidence resulted in a debut album in which she played all the parts. Check out the videos below for more on how she's taken her jazz kit beginnings and fused it with rock plus a glimpse into her song "Unraveling" from the point of view of each instrument.
“This kit has the sizes of a rock kit but I kinda do it in a jazz configuration.”
“Being a drummer first definitely helped me learn how to pick up guitar and bass.”
