The Zildjian Kerope 22" medium thin high ride cymbal is a tribute to the timeless sound that drummers have coveted for decades. Inspired by the revered intermediate stamp Turkish K's, this cymbal embodies the warmth, complexity, and musicality that defined an era. With deep tonal richness and an expressive dynamic range, the Kerope series delivers the authentic "old K" sound that has long been sought after. Whether played softly or with intensity, the 22" medium thin high ride cymbal seamlessly integrates into any musical setting, offering drummers a sonic experience rooted in history yet designed for modern play.

Handcrafted Excellence and Vintage Techniques

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Kerope 22" medium thin high ride undergoes an extensive hammering process, shaping the bow with over four times the hammering of a K Constantinople. This level of craftsmanship replicates the old-world techniques that produced the legendary K cymbals of the mid-20th century. A deep pin lathing process enhances the stick response and articulation, making it a perfect choice for both ride and brushwork. A unique waxing process refines the surface, contributing to the cymbal's rich sonic complexity. Each piece undergoes rigorous sound testing, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of the Kerope legacy.

A Ride Cymbal That Inspires Expression

The Kerope 22" medium thin high ride is designed to offer drummers exceptional control and musicality. Its stick articulation remains clear and defined, cutting through without being overpowered by wash. The cymbal responds with a warm, complex crash, making it a versatile ride that also serves as an expressive crash alternative. Whether played in a jazz ensemble, a fusion setting, or a dynamic rock performance, the cymbal's lush sustain and dark, textured overtones inspire drummers to explore new sonic possibilities.

A Tribute to Zildjian's Legacy

More than just a high-performance cymbal, the Kerope 22" medium thin high ride embodies the legacy of Zildjian's craftsmanship. Each cymbal bears Craigie Zildjian's signature in the bell, a rare and prestigious mark of tradition. This is the only cymbal series in Zildjian's catalog that features her name, reinforcing its deep connection to the brand's storied past. With an etched Zildjian logo adding to its vintage aesthetic, the Kerope ride not only sounds like a classic but also visually represents the history and artistry behind its creation.

The Ultimate K Sound With Modern Versatility

For drummers in search of the ultimate K sound, the Kerope 22" medium thin high ride offers an unrivaled blend of warmth, articulation, and responsiveness. Its higher fundamental pitch allows for precise stick definition, while its rich sustain and dynamic control make it adaptable to a variety of musical styles. Whether used as a primary ride or a crashable alternative, this cymbal sits naturally under the drummer's hands, responding with an organic feel that makes every performance effortless. The Kerope ride is more than just a cymbal—it's an instrument that carries a sound legacy forward into the future.
