Zildjian K Series 5-Piece Cymbal Pack With 16" Crash

I play mostly country and gospel music. These K's are definitely different than my A's. Just a bigger sound and presence with the K's. I still love the A's and will switch up from time to time, but will mostly use the K's in live concert settings. I will also probably mix them some.

I have been playing drums for over 40yrs in which time I have purchased 1 cymbal pack (before there were cymbal packs) at Guitar Center Hollywood in 1978. They were all A's 15"new beat HHS/24"ride/20"med.crash/20"med.thin crash/20"pang and a 16"med.crash. They have served me well for all these years but having played steadily on worship teams for the last 5yrs. I just couldn't get the darker sound out of them for this style of music. Now with these K's it has amazingly given me a new enthusiasm for this music. And the 5pack is almost a $400.00 savings over buying them separately. Now with my A's and K's (and Myself being 64yrs. old) I won't need another cymbal for the rest of my life (or will I?) A lot of new cymbal manufacturers are now out there many of them putting out some great sounding cymbals but come on guys there is still only 1 putting out "Genuine Turkish Cymbals " made in U.S.A. ZILDJIAN!!!!!!! Don't Wait

Excellent cymbal set. Sounds great live and recorded. Don't waste money on low end or mid grade cymbals... you won't be happy until you get to this level.

The cymbals in this pack are beautiful and sound great together! I was originally wanting to get some K crashes, but the price of this set was well worth getting the hats and ride as well. I've always preferred the darker, warmer sound of the K series cymbals, but I was still really happy with the nice bit of high end sound that the medium thin crashes deliver without too much sustain. Very pleased and impressed with these new additions to my Zildjian collection.

Last month I ordered this boxed 5-piece set of K Zildjian cymbals. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a boxed set of cymbals not hand-picked and matched by myself. The price savings was enough of a motivation to allow me to go ahead and take the plunge. Surprise! The boxed set of cymbals was very well matched indeed. The set of 5 consists of a 20" medium ride-16" dark thin crash - 14" dark hi hat pair plus a bonus 18" dark thin crash all K. Zildjians. The two crashes compliment each other very well with harmonic overtones that blended perfectly together. The ride is astounding! A beautiful spread without any stick "washout"...I love the hats...not overly bright but darker and funky. These cymbals will be used almost exclusively in a recording studio situation and are a great choice for that purpose. They "speak" quickly with a rapid decay without those nagging long overtones that can get in the way of vocal tracks. My hats off to whom ever matched these cymbals...beautiful job...beautiful cymbals...great price.
