I thought this would be a synthesizer, but it just samples its preloaded, unchangeable patches. no attack, filter, cutoff...no arpeggiator no midi in/out/thru...plenty of cheesy styles to choose from. no, you can't make your own. the CD prompts you to spend more money on more styles that you didn't make. on the plus side, realistic sounds! perfect for a piano player.

This is a great keyboard, very expressive and easy to learn. The instruction manual is well written and the sounds are awesome. Although, I wish it offered overdubbing facility on tracks when recoring your own performance. Overall it is an excellent value for your money, you cannot go wrong.

I just got my Yamaha YPG-225 Keyboard, and I love it. The key action is decent, but the sound quality is unlike anything else in this price range. It is packed with features, some useful (the 6-Track sequencer is great) and some a bit superfluous (489 voices is a little much), but overall, this is the best keyboard you can get for this money, and I would reccommend it to anyone.

I'm a worship leader for my local church, and it fits all my needs. This Yamaha is fitting for our small youth group. Puts out good sound and even better sound voices. Great for on the road shows, lightweight and very portable. Hook-ups work very well and sounds great plugged into whatever sound system.

I purchased this keyboard a little while back, and have since been very happy with it. It serves its purpose of replacing a piano quite well. I like all of the features of this keyboard. They are quite handy. I also like all the different voices this keyboard can produce. I don't use them all the time, but it is nice to have them. Overall, this is a great keyboard. It is built great and I really recommend purchasing it.
