Yamaha's TransAcoustic Technology for Built-In Effects

The standout feature of this guitar is its integrated TransAcoustic effects system, which includes reverb, delay, chorus, and a looper. These effects are built directly into the instrument, allowing players to create lush soundscapes without the need for external gear. The looper function enables layering of riffs and progressions, fostering creativity during practice or performance. An intuitive tap sensor provides effortless control over loop timing and tempo, while Bluetooth audio integration allows playback of backing tracks or favorite songs. This feature transforms the Yamaha TAG 3 from a traditional acoustic guitar into a versatile platform for sonic exploration and innovation.

Premium All-Solid Wood Construction

This model's all-solid wood construction ensures a rich and resonant acoustic voice. The Sitka spruce top offers excellent clarity and projection, while the solid mahogany back and sides add warmth and depth to its tonal character. The dreadnought body shape enhances low-end response, making it ideal for players who enjoy powerful strumming or intricate fingerpicking. The wood combination is further complemented by scalloped bracing, which allows the top to vibrate freely for improved sustain and responsiveness. Together, these elements create a guitar that delivers superior tonal balance and dynamic range, inspiring players to explore its full acoustic potential.

Rechargeable Electronics for Modern Convenience

The Yamaha TAG 3 features a rechargeable Li-ion battery system to power its advanced electronics. With a magnetic charging connection, recharging the guitar is hassle-free and eliminates the need for disposable batteries. The built-in controls, including master volume, bass EQ, and mic blend, are intuitive and easy to use, enabling precise adjustments to your sound. This rechargeable system offers up to 10 hours of continuous playtime, ensuring reliability during rehearsals, gigs, or extended recording sessions. By combining cutting-edge functionality with eco-friendly convenience, this guitar delivers an elevated experience for today's musicians.

Engineered for Durability and Playability

The construction of this acoustic-electric guitar is designed to stand the test of time while maintaining exceptional playability. Its ebony fingerboard and bridge provide a smooth, responsive feel and long-lasting durability. The nitrocellulose finish enhances the resonance of the all-solid wood body, improving its tonal characteristics over time. The ergonomic cutaway design ensures easy access to the upper frets, making it ideal for exploring lead lines or solos. Gotoh tuners in cosmo black provide precise tuning stability, ensuring the guitar stays in tune even during intense performances. With its premium materials and thoughtful design, this instrument offers reliability for years to come.

Game-Changer for Creative Musicians

The Yamaha TAG 3 TransAcoustic guitar is the ideal instrument for musicians seeking to expand their sonic palette. A cautionary tale, you will play this so much you will realize the calluses you thought you had won't be enough. It sound truly amazing, and that's without the trans acoustics. Add in the effects and the looper, and you won't stop playing! So easy to use!

  • Definitely worth the price!

The guitar sounds phenomenal with the built-in pre-amp. It doesn't sound artificial or out of place. Even without the pre-amp, it still sounds pristine with good highs and lows. The guitar is a bit heavy with all the installed electronics, and I would like to see how the battery holds up.

  • Poor sounding acoustically and 2heavy

I was bummed that acoustically this sounded dead and flat and weighed like 7 lbs. The effects were ok but not many useable settings even with the iPhone app and the looper was meh . The special charging cable was odd( why not usb c or lightening) and i would worry that over time the battery would lose charge like cell phones and cars do,. Also overpriced for what it is. I have the fgta and it sounds better weighs less and is as well made. If this wasn't Chinese made it may be worth it but its a $1000 guitar at most.. if even that. 899$ is more like it . Beware the tone and weight. You may like it but it's just not as I was expecting after seeing so many reviews.

  • It was worth the wait.

Very happy with this guitar so far. The guitar I received was perfect. The fit, finish and action are all excellent. It sounds good without the electronics, but it sounds incredible when you turn it on. It's my go to "acoustic" now. It's great for writing, practicing and performing.

  • This guitar is fantastic!

It is a great guitar for sitting in my music room and laying down a back track then practice playing scales with that back track. Im learning to play better especially scales and runs up and down the neck. I am playing more than I have in a longtime. It's fun and creative. I have the first edition of the transacustic guitar line from Yamaha the FS-TA. With addition of a second transducer the sound more full. The reverb and choris is enough but adding in delay and looping takes your playing experience to whole new level. You will not be disappointed with this guitar!

  • Great guitar

I love the way this plays, good action, nice tone, and feels great, not to mention the built in effects, so there's no need to lug around an amp and pedals. I definitely recommend
