I like the snare to much that's the only reason why i don't return it, but they didn't give me a new one they give me the exhibition one, it's new but allready has like 2 or 3 marks on the head, i will give it 4 stars just because it wasn't new but the snare quantity is pretty impressive, sound like a pretty much expensive one.

  • WOW what a snare at a great price!

I bought one and sold it and regretted it right away and bought another one! You can't beat it, well you can but you know what I'm saying. I'm upgrading the throw off which is really my biggest complaint, snare wires, heads and putting S-Hoops on it and this baby will kick it with the best of them!

I've played dozens of steel snares in the past 20 years and this is top of the line in budget drums. Whether on stage or in the studio it has the solid tone and crack that even my guitarist can't stop complementing. I have snares twice the price and this holds up with all of them. I've yet to use anything by Yamaha that isn't quality.
