When I first saw the yamaha stage custom advantage set I thought it would cost some more than it actually does, based on the way it looks and my expectations from it, but when I saw the price I knew this was "my drum set". After obtaining the drums set I was surprised at how custom this set really is, you have the option of deciding how you want everything to be. After the drum set was set and WELL TUNED, there came the most important thing, its sound, and it was here where I realized that I had made a very very smart choice when I decided to buy this drum set. It sounds very loud and more than decent with its original heads, I feel new heads are not necessary but perhaps I will get some remo pinstripe heads just to make sure I enjoy this set to the max. I am overly satisfied with the yamaha stage custom advantage fusion set, it is a great drum set for any drummer who loves to play music.

I like the Yamaha sound this is a decent kit my problem lies in the tuning lugs which vibrate loose and the abscence of overing mufflers but have remedied these issues. New heads this set will be banging.

I've played dozens of drum kits over the years, and recorded hundreds in the studio. The Yamaha Stage Customs have what it takes to accel on stage, as well as produce the pure tones every producer and engineer looks for while recording. These drums have the punch for hard rock and the overtones for jazz, as well as everything in between. For the money, I'd put this kit up against them all in a heartbeat; they'd clean house. If you're looking for a kit to last years, and sound great, I highly recommend the Yamaha Stage Customs.
