Good, sturdy stand

I love this stand! I have a Yamaha MX-88, so I needed something that could hold a big keyboard. My favorite features are the lever that allows you to adjust the height easily on your own because you squeeze it with one hand (unlike some stands with an awkward knob you need to pull out while someone else adjusts the height) and the ways the width is adjustable as well. I love how it grips the keyboard snugly. I have played acoustic piano for over 30 years and never liked keyboards much, but this stand keeps the keyboard stable while I play (standing or sitting), and it has a good feel to it. The stand is a bit heavy, but it's not too bad. I can lift it into my car easily. I've had people at gigs ask me about my stand and where they can get one!

Yamaha will tell you that this stand fits any keyboard, but that is incorrect. The product does not work for a YPT255, as the posts don't close to fit correctly around this keyboard. I also had to wait months for this stand, so I am not sending it back. The product is nice, so I am taking some octagonal manipulatives and placing them at the front of the keyboard to make it work. The product is decent and I don't think stability will be a problem for a seven year old. If you have one of the larger keyboards, this will probably be perfect for you.

I needed a stand that could hold my 80 lb full size keyboard and that would be wide enough to keep it very secure at a height high enough that I could stand and play comfortably during church services. This was perfect! Very durable and great quality. Easy to assemble.

Difficult to put together....instructions are not real helpful. Once you get it together, it is a good stand.

Item made by Yamaha, but too wide for a Yamaha P-115. Advertised as an adjustable width stand that will fit any keyboard, but does not fit one of Yamaha's most popular digital keyboards. I just don't get that! I t doesn't make any sense. An somewhat expensive, well made item that does not work....I'm rather disappointed with it... particularly because I waited over a year to receive it and it doesn't hold the P-115 securely.

  • Very solid. Too big for Yamaha P45.

The stand is very solid and fairly easy to assemble. It comes with the tool you need. I bought this stand for a Yamaha P45 piano. The piano is too narrow for this stand. The "clamps" cannot hold the piano. The piano still sits solidly on the stand, but it could move around. Also, I wish the stand would go lower.

    PSR-EW425 follow-up question.

Specifically, I'm looking to see if the upright bracings can be adjusted to fit the forementioned keyboard. The specs provided in the listing don't address the adjustment range of the upright pegs.

Thank you. According to Yamaha, those pegs to 5.5" Your PSR is 5-3/8. If you don't carry on like Jon Lord, you should be good.

I'm seeing reviews that state that this stand doesn't properly/snugly support some Yamaha model keyboards.

Will it properly/snugly support a PSR-EW425?

I’m sorry, I don’t know. I don't have one to check. Nothing attaches, it's just a support. The measurements are published.
