Super Articulation Lite Voices

Yamaha

Description

The PSR-E373 from Yamaha is an ideal portable keyboard for beginners and hobbyists. It's packed with over 622 stunning instrument Voices and a wealth of accompaniment Styles. 11 Super Articulation Lite Voices (SALite), inherited from the powerful PSR-S models, are now included. These give you greater expressive, real-time control (e.g. String Scratches/Guitar Slide noise), adding to the realism of the Voice. The PSR-E373 features touch-sensitive keys, onboard lessons, computer and mobile device connectivity, and much more. The USB to HOST port allows for both MIDI and audio to pass to and from a computer's recording software with a single cable, making the PSR-E373 a great instrument to get started with home recording.

Features

  • AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) Dynamic Stereo Sampling engine recreates the realism of an acoustic instrument, reproducing its dynamic nuances by recording samples of various playing strengths
  • Smart Chord lets you play great-sounding chords from simple pop triads to complex jazz 7th chords with just a few fingers
  • Super Articulation Lite Voices can be controlled with the "Art" button to intuitively reproduce the natural expressive nuances of non-keyboard instruments, allowing keyboard players to achieve realistic expression
  • Duo mode splits the keyboard into two halves, each with their own "middle C" for practicing with a partner
  • Yamaha Education Suite (Y.E.S.) allows you to practice using the preset songs (or MIDI files on compatible instruments) at your own pace, one hand at a time, or both together
  • Registration Memories allow you to save and recall panel settings like Voice, Song, Pattern and/or Style to quickly access your favorite configurations
  • USB to HOST connectivity with MIDI and audio transfer means you only need one cable to connect to your music-making software
  • 1/8" AUX input takes output from a portable music player, iOS device, mixer or computer and uses the instrument's speakers to play back the audio

Great keyboard for learning and more

As a keyboard for piano, electric piano, strings, and organ, you can't beat it for the price. The DSP effects like chorus and reverb are nice too...I wish they had dedicated controls, but you can only get so much for the price. The keybed feels good and they keys are quiet. Saving your presets is great, but it would be nice to have more than 9. The learning features are good too, but they can be kind of confusing to navigate. cons: If you want to use it as a midi controller on iOS, it can be a bit finicky...where the sustain pedal requires workarounds for some apps. There's also some confusing issue with the output being routed back through the keyboard speakers instead of being able to use the iOS devices' sound output, but this could be a setup issue that Yamaha needs to help document better.

Looks like open box product

It was a Santa Christmas gift to my daughter, the keyboard box looks ok but without Music rest, the Owner's Manual and some suspicious conditions with the inside bag told me this is a possible open box product. Be aware that this product doesn't come with the 12v AC, will need 6 AA bat

I've had it for 3 years. I have played piano for 53 years. I had previously owned 2 other yamaha keyboards. 1 in the late 80s... my 2nd I gave to my grand daughter I think its a PSR 240 or 260. Many voices and nice piano, strings, guitar and organ voices. I never actually learned to program or set all the features or figure out the registration access. The negative is it has so many voices in the xgl that you have to write down your favorites. The other negative is it doesn't have really good volume or speakers compared to the older one I gave my grand daughter. But I recommend it which now has an upgrade in the 383. ... so for lower end price or if you find one used go for it. I upgraded to the yamaha dgx670 because I wanted 88 keys and piano size keys and action in May 25.. I just bought the psrew425 to add as my second keyboard because it has 76 keys and the extra voices. I'm giving this to a grandson. I have completely enjoyed it and it traveled around the 🇺🇸 in my semi truck before I retired.
