Yamaha P-121 Digital Piano

Easy control with the Smart Pianist app
Smart Pianist allows you to control the many functions included in your Yamaha digital piano with your smart device. Voices, rhythms and other settings can be selected through the familiar touch screen of your phone or tablet, making it easy to control the functions of your piano. You can also use the Chord Tracker function to learn how to play the chords of your favorite songs. Chord Tracker analyzes the songs from your music library on your iPhone or iPad and displays the chord symbols so you can play along! Find new ways to enjoy your P-121, using smart functions that only a modern digital instrument can provide.
A new kind of headphone experience
When using headphones, the Stereophonic Optimizer lets players enjoy the same dispersed sound heard when sitting in front of an acoustic piano. With the Stereophonic Optimizer, Voices sampled from acoustic pianos appear to come from the body of the instrument. This provides a comfortable, natural experience that eliminates the downsides of performing with headphones.

Have played for about two years on an 88 key keyboard and wanted to upgrade my keyboard while slightly downsizing to fit in my apartment. This Yamaha sounds incredible, feels great, and has truly awesome features with the Yamaha Smart Pianist app compatibility. I'd highly recommend this product.
sound great, affordable price, compact to carry

Yamaha P121 is good for who just have shared room life; but do have a love for playing piano.

This keyboard has a great action and good sounds. With 73 keys, it's better than 88, but would be even better if it were 61 keys. That's what I really want, because I could wear it on my back like a guitar, throw it in the back seat of a cabe or take it on the metro. So far, there are no 61-note keyboards with fully weighted action.
Lightweight 73 keys with good actions.

Was looking for a smaller light weight keyboard with weighted keys for solo gigs in small venues. The P121 is great when used with powered PA and eq'd thru your mixer. Also a good practice instrument - headphone sounds great. Again best used with powered speakers even at home.

Damaged my ears from too much loud music so I have to stay away from headphones. I would like to be able to turn the volume down VERY low and play without headphones. Will I be able to do that? Does the volume go down pretty low? There's not any electrical hum or a buzz, is there, when the volume slider is down low? I just want to play very softly.
It will go down.submitted3 years ago

Can you describe the 'blemish'? Does it still come with warranty? -- thanks
Unfortunately, we have no way of knowing what the blemish is. However, it would only be a minor cosmetic flaw and would not effect the pianos functionality. It does still come with a manufacturer warranty.submitted6 years ago
