Beautifully finished with attention to detail; i.e. frets nicely smoothed at the edge of the fretboard. The action is low and easy to play but no buzzing at all. The amplified sound is superb with a completely natural sound, even on the rather low-end solid state amp I have been using. The unamplified sound is not as robust as I would like. One issue is that it developed two small cracks at the jack connection/battery compartment. I returned it to the dealer who has now sent it back to Yamaha, and I expect it to be replaced under warranty (only two months old). I hope soon as it has been nearly three weeks!
