Worst Board I Ever Bought

I knew I wasn't buying a top grade mixer, but I figured I'd give it a shot. Took a while to learn all of the features, but that's expected when using something new. Got it to my gig and the sound kept dropping out and giving nothing but static and high end. I went through trouble shooting and replacing cables one at a time and it kept happening. Exchanged it for the same model thinking it was just a bad board, which happens. Nope. Happened with the second one. Going back to Mackie.

I use this mixer for vocals and keys when playing out as a band through some Harbinger VV4412 speakers. When doing smaller acoustic shows I run acoustic guitars out of effects units right into the mixer. The effects and overall sound quality are excellent and the controls are pretty straight forward. The only thing I would prefer is if it could be a little larger so knobs are bigger. It is a little tough to make quick adjustments on the fly, mid performance. The other thing is the faders feels a little flimsy/light. I wish there was more weight//resistance behind them. Finally keep in mind, 6/12 channels are stereo so they are really 3 channels instead of 6.

I have used this mixer consistently in karaoke shows over the last 5 years. I have owned three of them and have had great luck with each one. Lots of good effects and simple to use. The slider controls are superior to twist knobs when you have to make adjustments fast to counter feedback events.

We use this mixer to combine a large number of instruments for a percussion show. It has worked flawlessly and is easy to use. It has more features than I realized when I bought it.

I bought this wanting a small analog mixer to set up quickly for rehearsals or smaller acoustic. This works perfect. I still have my Midas m32 and a couple x32's, but this is my new go to for smaller acoustic gigs and to set up quickly at home for rehearsal. Highly recommended if you are also looking for a small analog mixer. Sounds great for what it is.

would you choose this over a Mackie profx16v2 if you were doing a karaoke show ? the reason I'm asking is that I have the Mackie just thinking a 16 channel is a bit over kill

    Open Reply - Thomas
The extra channels wouldn't be a problem. It's not worth buying another board if you already own the Mackie. It's only 4 channels difference
