The Yamaha F335 is my third guitar. I was looking for an inexpensive acoustic guitar to replace my broken one. After trying so many guitars, this was definitely the one. It plays just as well as a Taylor, for less than half the price! I have the sunburst one... the color is beautiful, the sound is beautiful, and it's very comfortable. This guitar is great for everyone... if you're looking for your first or replacement guitar, this is the one!

I wanted a beater guitar that I could practice on and improve my skills, while not being so expensive or delicate that I would have a heart attack if my young kids got a hold of it. I also didn't want to have to worry about treating it delicately with regards to conditions like humidity. This all-laminate guitar was a perfect choice, and I actually chose it for these reasons over a spruce top model. The sound is ok, it's very playable, but tuning stability and intonation are not very good. This guitar is a great entry level or beater guitar, but you would be wise to ignore any reviews that say "it plays like a Taylor!" or "It sounds better than my friend's Martin!" No, people, it doesn't. Not even close. Comments like that are made by people who haven't been playing long enough for playability to matter, and/or have a tin ear. But for the price, it's a good low end guitar and a great choice for a beginner or student. Yamaha probably makes the best cheap guitars out there (< $250).

I just bought the 335 for myself and my daughter to play. I have played guitar a little here and there for the past 25 years and I have large hands. my daughter is 8 years old and is very petite. This guitar works for both of us! A previous post said it has high action...the one i have actually has good action at the upper frets. this is a nice medium size guitar without digging deep into your wallet.
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
I purchased this guitar when I started learning to play. I had previously owned a Takamine that was supposedly a better instrument, but this thing is head and shoulders above. Sounds great, plays wonderfully, and is above all a smooth, comfortable, and able first instrument. I can unreservedly recommend it to first time players or people needing a solid, well-performing guitar.

i have had this guitar for a year now and it has blown me away. i play more electric but it is always fun to pick up this great acoustic guitar. i was turned on to yamaha acoustics by my uncle who has had only one acoustic since he was 12. he said it was the best for the money, and he was right. this guitar sounds as good to me as a martin for a fraction of the money.

This was my first acoustic guitar i had ever bought... and Im glad i bought this one. the sound is amzing. the distance between the strings and the fretboard is perfect. theres barely any unwanted vibrations and the sound quality is perfect. this guitar is good for beginners and experts, and the price helps even more!

This is my first guitar and I can't stop playing it! I'm in love with the sound of this guitar, it has a vibrant and bright tone which I love. I also have small hands which allows me to play this guitar comfortably. I highly recommend this guitar.

I've been playing guitar for over 40 years and my daughter decided to take a guitar class. I wanted something she could practice on at home something I could play around with too. This guitar so exceeded my expectaions (especially given the ultra low price) for action and sound quality. I've played guitars that cost way more (and I mean WAY MORE) than this guitar that don't have nearly the sound quality or ease of playing this guitar has. Once the strings finished stretching, this stays dead on tuning wise and just simply plays like a dream This is without a doubt the best $100 bucks I ever spent for a guitar. I hadn't picked up a guitar for almost a year. Now I play this thing nearly every day. Daughter has to make sure she practices before I get home from work or she's out of luck.

This Yamaha has great balanced tone, quality construction and a beautiful appearance. The action is low and easy to play. The price makes it very affordable- a great choice for a beginner or old-time picker. As a music teacher, I recommend this guitar.

I traded my vintage Yamaha FG 75 for my F335. It has a beautiful ring to it. It has a great stage sound unlike my vintage. It holds tune very well and sounds like a much more exspensive guitar than what it is. I would almost rank it as high as my vintage FG 180. Excellent guitar for beginner to pro. Love it!
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
I originally started learning on an epiphone acoustic. After playing for a year my dad got me a guitar for my birthday. When we were looking for a guitar we saw an epiphone and this yamaha both for $99.99. After playing both of them the epiphone didn't even come close to the f-335. I've had the guitar for about 3 years and it has never let me down. I compare it to my brother's more expenxive guitar and the f-335 comes out on top no matter what I compare. If your getting your first guitar buy this one!

After looking around for a long time, finally settled on this as my starter. Once I got my hands on it at the local g-center I was sold. The strings it came with were awful but thats to be expected, changed em out with some fender nylons and it sounds excellent, not to mention it looks great too. Holds tuning well, easy to restring and sounds like a much more expensive acoustic then it is, a great deal all in all, I am very happy with this guitar.

I just received my new Yamaha F335 and it's everything you said it would be. Right out of the box, with a little tuning, it's ready to play. For the money this has got to be the best guitar deal around. Thanks for the prompt shipping. I will highly recommend both this guitar and your store to anyone that asks. Thanks again.

I love this guitar! I have other, more expensive guitars, but I really love this one. Especially for the price. I bought it on sale, but it is worth the regular price.
It played pretty good out of the box, but it can be better. I did a small adjustment to the truss rod to perfectly straighten the neck. After that, I sanded down the bridge just a little bit to bring down the string height and the action. Then I replaced the strings with brand new D'Addario EJ16 strings. These strings make a huge difference in my opinion, they really bring this guitar to life.
Really not a lot of work, but this thing plays like a dream!

I was looking for a guitar to use when I travel and found the F335 at a great price with great reviews online. I went to a local GC and played it and I ended up getting the TBS color to have something different than a natural finish which my other guitar has. As a beginner I can offer this feedback: this guitar sounds great, looks great, has great action, and feels well built. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great guitar at a great price for whatever the reason or playing experience. Some people have complained about the action, but I can easily hold chords on this guitar (maybe it's the string gauge or defect). I personally don't like the way the black looks, but the natural and TBS look great.
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
I have been playing for 27 years my first guitar was very simular to this one. I saw it at Guitar Center and the price was right for me to reclaim some of my early playing days. I was really suprised how good this guitar sounds. I wanted it to show my son what kind of guitar I started playing and as it turns out I enjoy playing now. It's full body allows for great clear sound I would recommend this guitar for any beginner. The price is right and they're getting a solid first guitar. I purchased the Black finish model and I have only had it for a week but so far it's really brought me back.
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
I bought this guitar to donate to a music program. After playing it, I decided to keep it for myself. I've been playing for 35+ years and I already own several guitars and currently this Yamaha is my 'go to' guitar, I play it more than any of the others. I think this speaks volumes about the sound and playability. It's a real sweet guitar. I'm pleased to be able to recommend it to others.
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
The tone is nice and crisp with the original strings, but even better with some light 80/20's. The finish is beautiful on the black version, with a nice rosette thats noticeable but not gaudy. The gold tuning knobs are great, they adjust easily and once the strings stretch a bit they need very few adjustments. The playability of this guitar is on par with models from other companies that cost 3 or 4 times as much. This gem was worth every cent!
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
When I bought this guitar at the 4th of July sale in 2006, I had no idea how to play it. I also bought one of those books with 1,000 chords and I slowly learned. This guitar holds its tune for days, has fantastic sound, and looks professional. It's also for a great price! I have never experienced any problems such as cracking fret boards or noisy strings. It's for beginners and is able to transition into a pro acoustic. This guitar gave me a great impression of Yamaha instruments!
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
i've had this guitar for over a year and its still awesome. me and my dad play it every day and the only thing that has worn down on it is the top 5 frets...and they arent even worn down enough so it doesnt sound good. it still sounds great and its really easy to play. the strings arent high from the fret board and its pretty loud. all in all its a great buy.
Comments about Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar:
This guitar is amazing. Not amazing for the price, just amazing. I've played guitars selling for 10x this price and i prefer my yamaha. It's got a great full sound. The lows sing out just as cleanly and clearly as the highs. I would recommend this guitar to anyone. Whether it be their first guitar, or another one to add to their collection.
