The Yamaha F335 acoustic guitar is a stellar blend of quality, playability, and affordability, offering an appealing option for both beginners and seasoned musicians alike. Its dreadnought body style, a classic choice for acoustic players, delivers a full and resonant tone that's perfect for a variety of genres. Whether you're just starting your musical journey or seeking a reliable and affordable instrument to add to your collection, the Yamaha F335 is an excellent choice.

Laminated Spruce Top Produces a Rich, Resonant Sound

The F335's laminated spruce top is lightweight yet rigid, helping the instrument resonate freely for a pleasing tone with full, rounded bass and crisp, sparkling highs. Spruce is a classic tonewood for acoustic guitars, known for its versatility and responsiveness. The laminated construction enhances the guitar's durability and resistance to changes in humidity, making it a reliable choice for players of all levels.

Meranti Back and Sides Provide Depth and Warmth

The F335's meranti back and sides help produce a warm, mellow tone with pronounced low end. Meranti is a tonewood that offers a balanced sound with good projection and sustain. The meranti back and sides, combined with the spruce top, give the F335 a voice that projects well for playing around campfires or in small venues. This combination of tonewoods creates a versatile instrument that's well-suited for a variety of musical styles.

Comfortable Playability and Attractive Appointments

With a slim nato neck, the F335 acoustic guitar has a comfortable playing feel for guitarists of all levels. Nato is a lightweight and durable wood that offers good stability and resonance. Its rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth surface for fingering chords and melodies. Rosewood is a popular choice for fingerboards due to its warm tone and smooth feel. The F335's finish and soundhole rosette, along with its classic dreadnought shape, give it an attractive traditional acoustic guitar appearance that belies its budget-friendly price.

Pick this guitar!

The Yamaha F335 is my third guitar. I was looking for an inexpensive acoustic guitar to replace my broken one. After trying so many guitars, this was definitely the one. It plays just as well as a Taylor, for less than half the price! I have the sunburst one... the color is beautiful, the sound is beautiful, and it's very comfortable. This guitar is great for everyone... if you're looking for your first or replacement guitar, this is the one!

It's good... for the price

I wanted a beater guitar that I could practice on and improve my skills, while not being so expensive or delicate that I would have a heart attack if my young kids got a hold of it. I also didn't want to have to worry about treating it delicately with regards to conditions like humidity. This all-laminate guitar was a perfect choice, and I actually chose it for these reasons over a spruce top model. The sound is ok, it's very playable, but tuning stability and intonation are not very good. This guitar is a great entry level or beater guitar, but you would be wise to ignore any reviews that say "it plays like a Taylor!" or "It sounds better than my friend's Martin!" No, people, it doesn't. Not even close. Comments like that are made by people who haven't been playing long enough for playability to matter, and/or have a tin ear. But for the price, it's a good low end guitar and a great choice for a beginner or student. Yamaha probably makes the best cheap guitars out there (< $250).

I had so much fun playing this guitar. It's a whole lot better than my old one. This one always stays in tune, and it's the perfect size for a beginner.

I was hesitant to buy because all the other lower priced acoustics I have purchased didn't sound very good and a tuning nightmare, but not this one. Deep, rich sound with minimal tuning and plays great. If you're on the fence about buying this guitar, get it, you won't regret it.
