Yamaha CSF-TA TransAcoustic Parlor Acoustic Electric Guitar | Demo

Description
There’s nothing so inspiring as playing guitar in a great sounding room – it makes you play better, longer and with more creativity. A Yamaha TransAcoustic guitar recreates that incredible experience with its built-in hall reverb, room reverb and chorus at your fingertips.
CSF Series
Compact guitars have a reputation for sounding "weak," but the CSF series features an all-new design that ends this preconception. With a rich, vibrant sound that transcends its size, the CSF series feels great to play and lacks nothing in comparison to many of its larger counterparts. Their compact form makes them easy to carry and allows them to be stored without taking up much space. Try taking a CSF series guitar with you the next time you head out, and see just how enjoyable playing in a natural setting can be.
The CSF series utilizes newly-designed scalloped bracing that delivers rich, full-bodied resonance comparable to that of a full-size guitar. Additionally, the use of a forward-shifted construction maintains the strength of the body while maximizing the resonance of the guitar top.

I wanted a parlor guitar and this perfectly fits the bill. Plus has the transacoustic features. Arrived in perfect condition within a few days. Also got a discount. Decent gig bag too.
I love this guitar

I regularly gig with this guitar - dinner cruise sail boat - and it has held up extremely well. Built in effects are great both electrified and unplugged - makes it sound like a full sized guitar. Short scale is easy to play and perfect for crowded conditions. I recently bought a second one for my wife who also loves it. Very good gig bag too. It has taken the bumps and bruises of a working guitar and not missed a beat. Comes with elixirs from the factory.
Great Guitar Right Out of The Box

I bought this guitar because I have had some issues with my hands and wanted a small bodied guitar that was a bit easier to play. I have been a Luthier for over 20 years and currently building a Parlor Guitar but wanted something in the meantime. I just opened the box and played it for the first time. First impressions. First, for a guitar "out of the box" the set up was just about perfect. The action is low with no fret buzzes anywhere on the fingerboard, The Elixir Strings are very comfortable and stay in tune. The unplugged sound of the guitar is very good on its own and the reverb/chorous settings really enhance the sound without amplification. The effects are actually pretty amazing. The Sitka Spruce solid top is high quality with nice medular rays which gives it added strength. The Mahogany back and sides are nicely finished with black binding. The neck is very comfortable and the truss rod setting is perfect for my needs. Just very slight relief. The gig bag that came with the guitar is very nice so won't have to pick up another one. The only negative thing I would point out is the small tuners are difficult to turn- its might just be my hand problem so I will change them out for some high end Gotohs which I have in stock. Overall an excellent guitar I think anyone would be happy with it. As a caveat, everyone has a different like/dislike in terms of playability, looks etc. But for the price I can't imagine someone would be disappointed.

The neck feels good. Its light and has a crisp sound. After I had strings adjusted, it plays so much better. I'm surprised factory setting was so high, 5/16 at 12th. Now it plays wonderful, I love it. I think Yamaha is under rated. I also own the FG850, which also sounds great but is larger.
Better than a GS Mini

I had a mahogany Taylor GS Mini recently that I loved. This guitar is better in every way. I've owned many solid wood Gibsons and Martins, but this is ideal for someone that doesn't have giant hands. Try this before you buy anything else. It's a wet dream. Plus the hard foam case with backpack straps is sweet.

Is the CSF TA the same guitar as the CSF3M with the trans acoustics thrown in? Also, is the CSF TA available in a burst?
The Yamaha CSF-TA (TransAcoustic) and the CSF3M are very similar, but not exactly the same guitar aside from the TransAcoustic system. Here's a breakdown of their similarities and key differences: CSF3M:: Electronics: Passive SRT Piezo Pickup. Back & Sides: Solid mahogany. Bracing: Scalloped X. CSF-TA:: Electronics: TransAcoustic system (reverb/chorus effects from the body, plus line out). Back & Sides:Laminated mahogany. Bracing: Similar, but optimized for TAsubmitted2 years ago

Hello. I was wondering if your Parlor size Yamaha transacoustic is the same size as the parlor size Alverez. Anything bigger is difficult for me to play. Could you tell me what the height of the guitar is where I would put my arm over it. That is where I have a problem if too high...Thanks... Dani...
There about the same. It's pretty smallsubmitted4 years ago

Does the CSF-TA purchase include any extra accessories? I will need a soft cover or a case if one is included. I want some pics and maybe a songbook or two if you sell these products.
