Picked CPX900 up because it was blue, now, it is my very favorite guitar out of my 4 acoustics 2 Yamaha & 2 Ibanez. Sound is excellent, Fretboard is awesome Rosewood true piece of art. Great feel. Highly recommend.

I'm a pretty active musician, usually gigging out a couple times a week in bars and restaurants. For the price, I think this is a fantastic guitar. I use it regularly and it stands up to the test. It sounds great - warm tone with great balance and nifty electronics. It's probably Yamaha's best kept secret.

Excellent build quality with wonderful tone. Natural finish model. Flamed maple sides and back are simply beautiful. Tone quality is exactly what I was looking for. If you choose one, you will not be dissapointed. I personally like it better than the Martin (because of neck) or Taylor (because of overall tone), for not only its appearence but for its value and especially the timbre and ring. I have owned a CPX10 & LS400 and this is just nice as those handcrafted models. Over 30 years of playing using Yari, Yamaha, Ovation, Gibson and Ibanez as well as few others, I find myself wanting this one over all the others.
