The Yamaha CK61 turns everywhere you go into a stage or studio with intuitive controls, built-in speakers and all the sounds you need. This keyboard combines the sounds of the Yamaha CP stage piano with the organ and synth-focused YC stage keyboard for a totally new sonic palette. Two split points increase flexibility to play three different sounds across the keyboard. A focused piano and keyboard sound set that's expressive and authentic for any musical need features a variety of organ types for classic rock, pop, jazz, R&B and country. Imitative sounds with realistic string sections, brass ensembles and more add to its musical versatility.

The Yamaha CK61 also includes a collection of fat, deep and expressive synth sounds that can be controlled in real time. Extensive onboard effects feature hands-on controls and a one-to-one interface that keeps you out of menus so you can focus on the music. Two customizable pedal inputs provide extra control for more expression, while Four Zone MIDI Master Keyboard Control allows powerful manipulation over hardware and soft synths.

The CK61 is fabulous! Great sound (with no amp!). The three-voice settings are sweet! The organ drawbars are amazing! And best of all? The Guitar Center here in Mesa gave me an excellent trade-in price on my old Roland stuff! Can't be happier!

  • Excellent replacement for an aging, heavy 01/W

In my band, I run piano organ and synthesizer keyboards. For decades, I have been using the Korg 01/W for brass and string sounds but it became too heavy to lift to the top tier and I was worried about it eventually breaking down. I bought the Yamaha CK 61 on a whim from a recommendation from someone and one of my keyboard Facebook groups. I'm glad that I bought it and it arrived just in time for my bands new CD which we were set to record. Without any knowledge of how to use it, it was very easy for me to access the sounds. I needed for the recording session and for subsequent concert we performed to promote our CD.This instrument sounds fantastic and it's easy to play. I recommend it as a low cost, all purpose, synthesizer/keyboard for any studio or small band venue.

No, they're not. This isn't built as a piano as much as a synth.
