Yamaha A-Series AC1M Cutaway Concert Acoustic-Electric Guitar Vintage Natural

Description
The Yamaha A-Series AC1M Cutaway Concert acoustic-electric guitar. This concert-sized acoustic-electric guitar provides a vintage aesthetic with premium tonewoods and Yamaha's acclaimed SRT piezo pickup system for a natural plugged-in sound. The solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides give warm, balanced tone with emphasized low-midrange frequencies. The AC1M is ideal for singer-songwriters and acoustic performers seeking an affordable, gig-ready guitar.
SRT Piezo Pickup Captures Natural Tone
Yamaha's Studio Response Technology piezo pickup accurately captures the AC1M's acoustic properties for an organic plugged-in sound. The System 66 preamp offers volume control, a built-in tuner, 3-band EQ and midrange frequency slider for tone shaping. Whether recording in the studio or performing on stage, the SRT pickup provides a dynamic, feedback-resistant tone that represents the guitar's natural voice.
Played-In Feel Right Out of the Case
The AC1M features a mahogany neck with hand-rolled fingerboard edges for a smooth, comfortable feel. The straight taper neck and 1.69" nut width are suited for most playing styles. A 14th-fret neck joint and cutaway body provide full access to the upper frets. The scalloped bracing pattern underneath the solid top results in a loud, expressive unplugged tone with an open sound.
Road-Ready Reliability
As part of Yamaha's renowned A-Series, the AC1M is constructed to rigorous standards for longevity and consistent performance. The dovetail neck joint, rosewood bridge, and high-quality components ensure stability and accurate intonation. A durable matte finish protects the tonewoods from humidity changes and temperature extremes. The AC1M travels with ease and handles the challenges of an active performing schedule.

A remarkable sounding "Made In China" guitar.

Many thanks to Jesse at the Winter Park, Florida store for recommending this finely constructed Yamaha acoustic guitar. The AC1M sounds as beautiful as it looks and it looks amazing. The action's perfect - right out of the box. The tuners are superb. And I can't say enough about the rosewood, mahogany and spruce woods used to construct this very playable instrument. I know my playing has improved greatly because this Yamaha acoustic guitar makes it so…I can't put it down and I really don't want to. Try one out the next time you're at GC and you'll agree. The Chinese have their act together when it comes to the Yamaha AC1M.
Great Gigging Guitar

I bought a used AC1M from GC last year and have played loads of gigs with it. The sound is great and I appreciate the ability to dial out any midrange honk with the midrange EQ. Intonation and playability are well within tolerance as well. The laminated sides and back don't detract from the sound when playing amplified. Cannot be beat for the price, especially used.
I'm glad I decided on this guitar

First off the guitar looks absolutely stunning the finish is flawless. The mahogany sides and back look deep. The sound is well rounded, sustain for days. The action is low, and the guitar is easy to fret. I returned a Martin x series for this guitar and I am so glad I did. I spent a lot of time playing other top contenders in this price range, I did research and this guitar wasn't the at the top of my list, until I heard her sing.
Very, very pleased

I consider myself an advanced beginner, this being my second guitar purchase. I gave up the banjo after eight years playing almost daily. Acoustic guitars have a more pleasing sound to me. The sound from this Yamaha exceeded my expectations considerably. After many comparisons , I had decided that a different ,higher priced Yamaha would be the one for me. Then I picked up this AC1M and knew almost immediately that I had to have it. It helps me make great sounding music ,my goal. I believe this one is one of the better acoustics under four figures ,if not the best.
My introduction to the Yamaha acoustic world

I have been playing guitar on and off for the better part of 15 years. I am by no means an expert, but in that time I have owned several acoustics and played many more. From Taylor, Martin, Ibanez, Lag, Ovation, Takamine.. When I was looking for a new acoustic electric, I spent hours and multiple visits trying to find "the one". Everything I played was either too bright, or too dull. I was looking at everything in the sub $1,000 range. From the first strum I knew it was the one. The setup, was perfect and although the neck is on the thin side, it is easily one of the easiest guitars I've ever played. Even with my fat fingers.. something about the neck profile, wood, and action just feels spot on. The attention to detail on the assembly is amazing as well. I can't find a single imperfection on any of the bonding, finish, or anywhere else on the neck/body. Now initially I was totally against getting a Yamaha, because to me it wasn't "cool" like Martin or Taylor. So I kept playing guitars 2-3x more expensive and kept coming back to this one. Every time I came back and strummed a chord it just brought a smile to my face. I changed the strings out to Elixir 80/20 polyweb lights, which brings out a tad bit more warmth. It has a great well rounded sound now. 5/5 without a doubt
Great guitar for the price!

I bought this as a backup guitar for my older Taylor 514 CE. Acoustically, the Yamaha AC1M sounds very beautiful for a laminate sides and back guitar. I prefer ebony fingerboards and though it is rosewood, this plays very nice and feels like ebony. This my first Sunburst finish guitar and adds a colorful look to my collection. I'm not a fan of piezo pickups so I don't care for the amplified sound of the electronics and will be making some kind of change. This is a great sounding guitar for the money and presently sits in my living room waiting for me when I get home, but at this price I don't have hesitations to take it places where I wouldn't want to take my Taylor.

Is there a warranty of any kind with this restock item?
The restock item is something that was returned to Yamaha with an issue, which they fixed and it's been deemed viable for resale, but since it's been worked on there's slight signs of use. The warranty is 1 year parts and labor. We also have a 45 day return period so if anything goes wrong in that time you can return it to any of our stores.submitted5 years ago

What does it mean when you list it as 'ReStock"? I'm assuming it may have ben returned. But does it mean that it is in used condition? Are any available warranties impacted? Will it be delivered in a box?
It means the guitars were sent back to the manufacturer due to a defect, the issue was fixed and they say it's viable for resale.submitted5 years ago
