Williams Rhapsody III Digital Piano With Bluetooth Ebony

Description
The Williams Rhapsody III digital piano, a premium instrument fusing modern technology with traditional design. The Rhapsody III delivers the authentic tone and touch of a concert grand piano in an affordable, space-efficient package. The Rhapsody III is the ideal choice for pianists desiring an acoustic piano experience without the hassle.
Dynamic, Realistic Sound
At the heart of the Rhapsody III are stereo sampled sounds from a renowned authentic grand piano. A powerful speaker system projects rich, resonant bass, sparkling highs and a wide stereo image for an immersive playing experience. Onboard reverb effects provide lush ambiance for solo or ensemble performance.
Weighted Hammer-Action Keys
The Rhapsody III's 88 full-sized keys are weighted to mimic the touch of hammers striking strings in an acoustic piano. Velocity-sensitive, the keys respond accurately to the speed and force of your performance for precise control over dynamics and musical expression.
Intuitive Interface
An easy-to-read backlit button display and streamlined control panel put all functions at your fingertips. Quickly select tones, set the metronome, use the recorder and more. Connect the Rhapsody III to external audio via the stereo headphone jacks or use the Aux In/Out jacks to connect a digital audio player or amplify the internal speakers.

Just what we were looking for
My wife and I have wanted to get a piano for the family for a while now. We had a "real" piano in our last house, but those things are prohibitively heavy. We knew we wanted to get a replacement after our move, but it's always been difficult to choose between a "keyboard" and an "electric piano." We walked into the GC in Tucson "just to check it out." Being new to the area, I wasn't sure exactly what their offerings would be like; they definitely have fewer guitars than I expected and a lot smaller selection, too. However, when it came to the keyboards/pianos, they had several setup for demos. The Williams Rhapsody III not only looked good, it sounded good. It also had enough "bells & whistles" to make the "keyboard" side of me happy. While we didn't demo it for very long, I was impressed in that initial incounter. When we realized that that particular model was "on sale" at 25% off (or something like that), it became hard to refuse. The Rhapsody III is not difficult to assemble, but it's best done with two people as the upper portion has significant weight to it. We got the ebony version as the walnut was not in stock... The ebony is a bit of a "wrap" on whatever material the rest of the unit is made from. This means care must be had when assembling as it will peel and scratch. But that aside, the thing looks great! #sweepstakes

A budget keyboard that (almost) matches its price point
Like many Williams products, aesthetically it's quite nice. Functionally, it has a pretty decent array of features. It's not a terrible choice for an early beginner (which I was when I bought it). But its sound quality and the weight of its keys are simply insufficient. Its biggest issue is sound quality. For my keyboard at least, several keys produced jarring, banging sounds which simply did not match the pressure applied, particularly D's and G's for whatever reason. Williams touts this keyboard as having "weighted keys", but the keys most certainly do not have any hint of the weight of an acoustic piano. Whenever I'd attend my weekly piano lesson where the instructor used a standard acoustic upright piano, the weight of the keys (and the sound they produced) was so vastly different from the Williams keyboard I'd been practicing on for a week, that it threw me every time, and my "recitals" would suffer for it. This is a half-decent keyboard for an early beginner adult like myself, who wants something with some aesthetic sensibility. But after even a couple months of practicing, trust me: you'll be looking for something else.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING

I've had issues with my William Rhapsody my grandfather sent to me, where I turn it on and there no inscriptions on the screen and there is no sound even though it turns on but a blank screen. My technician says it's a Board issue but the board cannot be found anywhere on the internet.
I would purchase again
