Man...what a tube! Oh my gosh. No joke here

Due to the very limited supply of in stock tubes, anywhere, I had to expand my search to include tubes I wasn't familiar with and Wathen CryoTone tubes were new territory for me. I read up on and watched YT vides about them before ordering a replacement EL34 WC for my Marshall Slash SL5. Completely apparent set of characteristics from the stock Electro Harmonix EL34. These are no joke. The downside here is the price especially when considering they don't come as a matched pair. Fortunately I only need one for my SL5. Would I consider putting these in my EVH 50 and EVH Lunchbox, sure...but at the price per tube these are currently selling for.
I've used these for a long time!

Play harmonica through several different tube amps, H&K, Marshall, Peavey, and am continually swapping out tubes to determine what sounds the best where. I like the EL34 anyway, but these CryoTones raise the bar. I use them in a Marshall DSL20 and am able to bring the tone into focus right where I want it.I think it's important to note also that I always match them up with CryoTones in the preamp as well -- together that combo can't be beat.
