This 2" wide reproduction has 25 "armored" chrome plates riveted to the heavy leather strap. 52" long.

Sold my original Python from 1965 along with my black 325 Rick with 3/4 John Lennon short neck and three pickups (the ONLY one of its kind at the time because importation of Ricks from Germany to the U.S. was illegal back then ... and don't ask me how I did it. Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies) and have just recently purchased a brand new Rick 325 and this strap completes the new guitar now.

Nice bit of Rock n' Roll history...a bit heavier than I anticipated, but cool just the same.

I'm a punk rocker, whatever that means. I'd only used various 2" wide Poly webbing straps over the past 10 yrs - with my own decorations on them of course. Pro tip-- if you order a plain black polyweb strap, then order a pack of DIY pyramid studs... you could essentially make a strap that looks like the Python. That being said, I've been looking to upgrade to a leather strap for a while now. After I recently traded in a Les Paul for a 1966 Vox Shadow start body white on white with chrome pick-ups... and paired that with the Vox Mini5 Rhythm 1 x 6.5" 5-Watt Battery Powered Amp with Rhythm with a chrome grill... it was definitely time to treat myself to the Python. Vanity aside (because the VOX guitar, amp and strap all look so mint together!!) -- this strap is amazing. It just feels sturdy. It feels solid. It's so freaking good-looking that it will likely give you a lot of confidence when playing. Bottom line: the Python might not "look" right on every guitar. If your axe is already heavy, you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you're playing something that's generally light-weight, consider the Python. If you have chrome hardware, definitely think about getting this! If you have gold hardware, I think the strap would clash. If you like this strap but you're on a budget, just make your own!!! ;) -AP

Having been a huge Beatles fan since '64 (it's the reason I took up guitar)I'm not sure whether I bought it as a strap for one my guitars or to have a piece of Beatle memorabilia.I've been craving this strap for decades and finally decided in spite of the price just to take the leap and get it.I don't regret it at all. It's a great looking piece of equipment. They certainly don't skimp on craftsmanship and leather quality. It makes any rig look great and is certainly stage worthy and a show stopper.I'd recommend it to anyone who's willing to spend the bucks.
