Description
With an improved analog circuit, the Vox amPlug G2 Blues provides three distinct voices—clean, crunch and lead—for a wide range of classic tones. It also features nine selectable effects with three types of chorus, delay and reverb. For added convenience, Vox designed this headphone amplifier with a folding plug mechanism that rotates 180 degrees as well as an auto power-off function. There’s even an AUX input for jamming along with any audio player. Thanks to its small size and amazing quality, the amPlug G2 Blues is the simplest way for any guitarist or bassist to get serious sound.

I was pleasantly surprised at the tone quality. I bought the Vox Amplug 2 "Blues" and it does live up to the good ratings it receives. Is it as good-sounding as my Vox tube amp? No, of course not. But it sounds much, MUCH better than you expect something this tiny to sound, and is more than adequate for practicing "silently" in hotel rooms or when you don't want to disturb other people in the house. The only "con" I can see so far is that because of the design I feel like I need to be a little bit careful with it, mainly when plugging and unplugging the Amplug from my guitars. It is well made, but the plug is designed so that the unit can be swiveled. This swivel creates a potential weak point. Not a big deal at all and I have not had any problems, but just something to be careful with. Overall I was pleasantly surprised with how good this little thing sounds.

Great little amp. Works well and has nice tones. I have also connected this to the input of a larger amp and the sound was very impressive.
