Gloves should not fail after 3 hours of usage. Seems Vic Firth quality has seen better days. Pro Mark and Meinl have a better product.

  • I enjoy using them

Better grip on sticks as my sticks would slip away especially during a fast song

My hands had so many blisters so I bought these gloves and they are great! The blisters on my hands went away and they are very durable despite what some of the reviews say.

These gloves are very light and comfortable to wear while playing and they have a great look and feel to them. But the mesh is already starting to fray on the fingertips after just 1 week of playing with them.

  • So far ... So good!

My situation is that since my heart surgery 4 years ago my skin/hands are very dry and slick as a result. Bare sticks slip. I tried stick tape, but that kept slipping on the sticks themselves. I tried grippy batter's gloves, but they were too bulky on the palm of my hands. Next, I looked at receiver's gloves, but they were TOO tacky. Then I tried a pair of Zildian gloves which had a nice fit, but the leather was too slick. So, after reviewing the options at Guitar Center On-line I opted these Vic Firth gloves. I had to order them since my local GC carried only the Zildians. I got these in last night and tried them out at my biker church band practice the same night. The fit was excellent, the palm and back ventilation kept my hands cool, and the grip was just what I was looking for. Unlike some reviews I've seen here and on-line I saw no wear after about three hours of practice, but I don't try to squeeze the blood out of my sticks. My fulcrum is between my thumb and index finger, so these were awesome. I'll check back in after more time has gone by. But, so far I'm very happy to have finally found a solution to my problem.

Are these touch-screen compatible? I'd like to use it with an iPhone visual metronome app and would rather not remove a glove between songs.

I'm curious about the different sizes; how do I know which one I need to buy for my hands?
