    I don't like playing cross-stick with the butt end, as it messes up the grip area. But I like the sound better, and the butt end is great for a big tom tom sound. So I got these on a whim. The diameter is only 1/2 inch, so I used some grip tape to thicken the grip area. Wow! I love the feel and response. Great for a powerful cross-stick click, and amazing on tom fills.
