Produce With Best-in-Class Audio Quality
From the team that brought you the game-changing Apollo interface, Volt 476 delivers superior studio sound quality, with more character and tone than any USB interface in its class.

Get Classic Sounds With Vintage Mic Preamp Mode
Few sounds can compare to a vintage Universal Audio 610 tube preamp, as used to record everyone from Ray Charles to Van Halen. Volt 476 gives you the rich, full sound of this classic UA mic/line/instrument preamp, thanks to its built-in tube emulation circuitry, a UA exclusive.

Control Volume Peaks With UA Compression
Get album-ready punch and presence with Volt 476's onboard 76 Compressor, an innovative analog circuit inspired by UA's classic 1176 Limiting Amplifier. The 76 Compressor features three perfectly tailored presets to tame voice, guitars, synths and drum machines. Just plug in, pick a setting and play.
Stay Inspired With a Curated Suite of Audio Software
Some audio interfaces give you a smattering of random audio apps. Not Volt. Instead, UA put together a bundle of serious music production tools, virtual instruments and plug-ins including Ableton, Melodyne, UJAM’s Virtual Drummer, Marshall, Ampeg and more.
Easy In, Easy Out
Volt 476 gives you simple 4-in/4-out audio connections. Just plug your mics, guitars or synths into the front panel. Then connect your speakers or headphones to monitor your audio with no latency. With Volt, you’ll be producing like a pro, fast.
iPad and iPhone Ready
When traveling light, plug Volt 476 into your iPad or iPhone, and you can easily create beats and samples, record your band’s rehearsals and edit songs anywhere.

It checks all the boxes; low noise, no weird power issue, does precisely what it says it will do. Can handle all inputs and outputs working for long periods for days in a row without issue. Also works excellently basically as an external sound card for system audio. The reason I got it was because a more cost-effective competitor device had all sorts of power issues and noise problems. So, I spent a bit more and got a far superior product. Would highly recommend. I use primarily for home studio/production from a variety of sources. Also - don't sleep on the plugins. They can really improve your final product in subtle but needle-moving ways.
Excellent audio interface!

I got this to upgrade from a Scarlett Focusrite Solo because I needed a few more inputs, and I was curious about the "vintage" button and compressor. I really like using both features on my bass guitar. I'm usually hesitant to put any effects on the input signal, and do it all in my DAW, but these sound so good that I've been using them as my default setting. The vocal compressor setting is also quite good, and I've been using it to speed up my recording process. When I read the reviews online, there were comments about noise when engaging the vintage and compressor, and they both do seem to raise the noise floor, but I've found it to be an acceptable tradeoff for increasing the speed and quality of the recording process. My only disappointment is the line in on the back is very quiet, and there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust that for monitoring. Once I get it recorded in my DAW, I can adjust it and things sound good, but when I'm monitoring the input for recording, I have to turn everything else way down to match the input level.
The Volt is very good

I own the Universal Audio Apollo x4 Heritage but don't want to use that for gigs and events where it might get stolen or damaged. I didn't need the DSPs for live, yet wanted IOS compatibility for the Sunday Sounds IOS app and other iPad applications. This fits the bill perfectly. I also love the output selector buttons on the front. It all just works including the MIDI functions. Thank you UA.
It could've been better

I still own an Avid / M-Audio C400 Interface, it can handle 2 sets of Monitors and it has 4 Audio inputs w GAIN, this device has 4 INPUTS as well but only 2 have GAIN control and those are the ones in the front the Rear INPUTS have no GAIN CONTROL so my synths sound very low even with the Synth gain all the way up. I have 2 sets of Monitors and a SUB and i can only use 1 set and the other OUTPUTS can't be used w Active monitors i had to purchase the Audient NERO, now the Vintage and preamps that the device bring are cool and i would recommend it to a friend if they record vocals but for a producer like me this has a lot of INPUTS and OUTPUTS but i can't use them all.
It's good but it could be way better!!

I will mainly use this interface to Record my synthesizers and to produce music, some things that this interface lacks is the option to connect at least 2 sets of monitors and the line in connection in the back Edie's not have a gain control, I came out a Avid C400 interface and that thing is a beast, I was able to connect two sets of monitors and all the inputs had gain control so I was able to control the volume of the LineIn and had no issue now with this Vault series interface the two Line In in the back are very low and my synthesizers sound very low even with the gain all the way up, I'm really considering to change, the mic preamps and the Vintage mode are cool but it would have been nice to have a button switch and control the gain from LineIn 3/4 not only 1/2
