    Block appears to project well. It is my second block. I also bought a couple for other drummers I know. I like that the block comes with a block holder. I had purchased a block from somewhere else (different company), but then I had a hard time finding a holder. This holder is a wider, so it also worked with the other block I bought. It's about 7 inches long. You can find a couple of other holders out there, but the ones I found were not as wide and would require you to drill an extra hole in the block. Even if you buy this for the holder only, you are still getting your money's worth.
