Toca Synergy Conga Set with Stand and Bongos Amber

Not a musician by any stretch of imagination, I just wanted to learn Indian tabla as a hobbyist to play along Bollywood singing parties and also salsa dance parties in small local venues. I bought this set as an easier and more elegant to Indian tabla drums. Price is perfect for a hobbyist who is testing the waters. Ordering was easy; glad store staff talked me into buying 1 yr easy return warranty. You can return for full refund within 40 days after which you get a gift card. They look great and sound great right out of box... to someone who doesn't have any experience with drums. However, the natural hide on bongos looks and feels completely different than congas. If I recall, one is buffalo hide and the other one is of the hunter who killed that buffalo. Thanks to generous and easy return policy, I was able to exchange my bongos as the hide on them felt rougher than Congas. Replacements bongos are marginally better. A month later, these still look and sound great. Will add an update as I put some miles on them.

This congas's and bongo set with stand was is a great deal for newcomer to practice before putting money into a better set. I was disappointed that that smells like glue and inside of the conga's and bongo set with gobs of glue. I called customer service and they requested pictures I gave it to them. They apologized and said that was a sloppy job. They still sound good for a newcomer and a great way to practice for the cost.

i use them at home with family and friends they sound good i like the color the stand is good too

Good sound with good looks. Purchased the black transparent finish. Strong hardware. The head ring feels good. The maple wood sound carries and sounds great in the large worship center. Construction and hardware are strong. These drums are used to back up a choir and acoustic guitar bands. Also supplements drum kit when required for . I am pleased with the value. We are getting complements on the look and sound.

The web page says it will usually get shipped in 2-3 weeks. Well, it took 3 times that amount for me to finally receive mine after waiting for a back order. However, when it finally arrived I was actually glad I waited (since Guitar Center had given me a chance to cancel the order). It is perfect for the use I bought it for: as additional percussion beside my main drum set for specialty songs. I didn't want to go with the more expensive models since it would not be used all the time during shows, but I still wanted a good look and a good sound, and I feel that this combination fits my situation quite well.
