Taylor

Description

The Taylor Gold Label 714e Super Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar heralds the next chapter in the brand's design evolution, spearheaded by CEO and chief designer Andy Powers' innovative new body shape. Slightly longer and wider than the Grand Auditorium, the Super Auditorium retains balance and comfort while unlocking deeper tonal resonance. Combined with the all-new Fanned V-Class bracing and long-tenon Action Control neck, the 714e offers a unique sonic signature that boldly pushes the iconic Taylor sound into exciting new territory. Boasting a round, powerful voice with rich midrange presence and pronounced low-end warmth, this guitar showcases an inspired blend of vintage character and modern projection. Loaded with premium LR Baggs electronics for natural and articulate amplified tone, the 714e is ideal for players who want expressive detail with robust, stage-ready output in a refined package.

Torrefied Sitka Spruce and Rosewood for Vintage-Inspired Warmth

The Gold Label 714e pairs a torrefied Sitka spruce top with an East Indian rosewood back and sides—a timeless combination elevated by advanced design. The torrefaction process enhances the top's responsiveness, adding an aged-in feel and heightened dynamic range. Rosewood's rich overtone content and full-spectrum voice deliver lush lows, clear mids and sparkling highs—all with exceptional sustain. Together, these woods evoke the character of cherished vintage instruments while benefiting from Taylor's cutting-edge construction techniques. Whether strummed or fingerpicked, every note blooms with complexity and depth, making the 714e equally adept in intimate solo settings or amplified performances.

Ergonomic Neo-Tropical Mahogany Neck for Effortless Expression

The 714e's long-tenon Action Control neck is a structural and musical innovation. Designed to extend further into the body and paired with Taylor's signature neck angle adjustability, it creates superior resonance while ensuring smooth playability. Carved from neo-tropical mahogany and capped with a West African ebony fingerboard, the neck features Taylor's Standard Profile—comfortable and familiar in hand. A 1.75" nut width provides enough space for expressive fingerstyle playing while retaining the precision and speed required for intricate chord work. With a 25.5" scale and 20 frets, it's a neck designed to inspire creative exploration, no matter your playing style or skill level.

LR Baggs Electronics With a Studio-Ready Sound

To bring its nuanced tone into amplified settings, the Taylor Gold Label 714e comes equipped with the LR Baggs Element VTC system. Renowned for its minimalist design and natural sonic translation, the VTC captures the instrument's full dynamic range with stunning accuracy. Onboard volume and tone controls allow for subtle adjustments without overwhelming your signal chain. This pickup system is a favorite among front-of-house engineers and discerning gigging artists for its reliability and tone-first approach. Whether you're recording direct or performing live, the Element VTC ensures the 714e's organic warmth and definition are always preserved.

Distinctive Taylor Appointments and Gold Label Refinement

Visually, the 714e stands apart with a collection of refined Gold Label design touches. From the vintage-inspired cream binding to the elegant new "Crest" inlay motif, every detail feels intentional and elevated. A Honduran rosewood Curve Wing bridge adds visual drama and tonal integrity, while nickel Taylor tuners ensure smooth, stable performance. The modified headstock shape features a script-style logo and a new inlay inspired by the feather of a red-tailed hawk. The gloss body finish contrasts beautifully with the satin neck, creating a tactile experience as rich as the tone. Every detail underscores this guitar's premium craftsmanship and timeless allure.

A Premium Taylor Acoustic-Electric With a Stunning New Voice

From its innovative shape to its expressive voice, the Taylor Gold Label 714e Super Auditorium acoustic-electric guitar is a culmination of visionary acoustic design. It's crafted for players who crave a more traditional acoustic tone, reimagined through Taylor's modern lens. Whether you're a singer-songwriter, session player or solo instrumentalist, this guitar offers wide dynamic range, luxurious playability and elevated stage presence. The included Taylor deluxe hardshell case ensures lasting protection for this heirloom-quality instrument. With its blend of fresh design, refined tonewoods and LR Baggs electronics, the 714e is a bold flagship offering in the Gold Label collection—ready for any stage, studio or songwriting moment.
