Taylor
Description
The Taylor GS Mini-e maple acoustic-electric bass pairs an inviting, scaled-down shape with the rich voice of a full-sized bass. It incorporates a proprietary string set developed by D’Addario, along with a Taylor-patented dual-prong bridge pin that was designed to optimize the string break angle and produce pleasing bass notes with the shorter scale length. The result is an inviting, portable and great-sounding instrument that makes playing acoustic bass more fun and accessible.

The GS Mini-e’s top is made of sitka spruce, which blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions, translating into a broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. The arched back generates more sound from the smaller body size, and using layered wood for the back and sides creates a sturdy yet receptive platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the bass’s top. Layered wood is also less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice if you travel with your instrument, or require more durability.

The GS Mini-e includes the Taylor Expression System Basic (ES-B) pickup, which incorporates piezo design elements from the ES2 system. It's powered by an onboard preamp that includes a built-in digital chromatic tuner, an LED display for tuning and low battery indication, plus a tone-sculpting 3-band EQ. Powered by a 9-volt battery, the ES-B conserves battery life using a standard on/off system that will automatically turn off if left on over 3 minutes. Additional appointments to the GS Mini-e include a hard rock maple neck, chrome tuners with chrome buttons and a Nubone nut. Comes with a Taylor hard bag.
