Seems well made, works as intended, shipped quickly. A little more compact would be an improvement.

I am surprised that the stores may not carry this all the time. However, it has made my life easier as I can go through batteries quickly with my DR 2D. The cord is long enough that I do not need to put it on an extension cord. Since this is an AD-DA style device, it is important to have a very stable power supply. It fits the bill.

This adaptor is necessary if you don't want to end up pilfering batteries from flashlights, video games, garage door openers, life support systems, etc. It should be included with the unit.

Yep, like I prelude this review with the review title: this device is a benefit to have!! I had purchased the TASCAM DR-07 HH DR on May 12th, and then this adaptor only three weeks later on June 4 because I honestly couldn't focus in my recordings, wondering 'How much time do I have left?' = paranoid about the batteries dying during a great recording. And now, I just plug away and record "all day long"! (Of course, You must keep track of the countdown time till out of recording space, heh.) I also like how the display is constantly lit for ease of reading as opposed to the batteries (which is of course to extend their life). The adaptor is nice and long which makes sense, as higher quality recordings are made quiter then boosted with whatever (e.g., the computer software: Audacity), thus distance helps with this. Get it!!
