TC Electronic

collapse expand iconDescription

The TC Electronic BH250 bass head packs a punch with 250W of power in a super lightweight and portable design. Weighing in at just 4.85lb. the BH250 is perfect for gigging bassists who need ample volume and a full feature set without breaking their back. With the BH250, you get the ideal balance of output and weight.

Load Signature Bass Tones With TonePrint

The BH250 includes Bass TonePrint, a unique feature that lets you load signature effects from some of the biggest names in bass. The TonePrint slot can be loaded with free effects like chorus, flanger, vibrato, drive, octaver and compression. Swap TonePrints on the fly for instant inspiration during gigs or in the studio. The onboard TonePrint knob lets you dial in just the right amount of each effect.

Built-in Tools Keep You in Tune

Stay in tune with the BH250's onboard bass tuner, designed specifically for 4, 5 and 6 string basses. Quickly tune up in between songs without hassle so you can get back to laying down grooves. The amp also includes a balanced DI output and headphone jack for flexible use. Send a clean DI signal to the PA when playing live or use it to record direct in the studio. Plug in headphones for silent practice at home. The BH250 gives you the tools you need for great tone in any environment.

Footswitch Control Options

For hands-free operation on stage, connect an optional 3-button footswitch to the BH250. The first switch mutes your signal, allowing you to tune up silently. The second turns the TonePrint effect on and off. The third switch toggles between the two most recently loaded TonePrints so you can change effects on the fly. With the footswitch controlling your amp, you can focus on your hands and get deeper into the groove.

Running it through 4x10 Zoom brand speakers in a old Berringer cabinet, into a 8 ohm load it has a awesome sound with plenty of volume. Time will tell on how long it holds up. I like the ability to change effects. Would be nice to have a 1/4 speaker out jack next to the speakon jack.

The bh250 is worth the money without toneprint. Figure that in and it's s steal!

I prefer it power-wise to the GK MB200 for my 6 string gigs- I found myself nearly maxing out the GK for medium/large band stuff, but this BH250 seldom goes past 6 on the dial and speaks, barks & shouts with ample headroom. Running it with a single 800w 15" cab or a 2x12" Aggie, and it always fills the stage with deep Anthony Jackson-style lows and articulate mids & highs. Pretty simple to navigate, no real frills beyond the built-in chorus, with is adjustable and sounds organic & rich. Fits in a gig bag and that makes it perfect for one-hand load-in. Lightweight, versatile, plenty of power- a total winner.

  • Great sound! Light and easy to carry. Ver good value item.

This amp has a very nice sound. The light weight coming with 250w is a big plus! Will see how sturdy it is in time, but so far standing transportations and normal usages.

  • Yes, I would buy this again.

Bought this head to replace the amp in my BG250-115 combo. Works and sounds just like the original amp. Only things different are one Toneprint slot and no adjustable gain. Would have given 5 stars if unit had a gain knob.

will a generic 3 button footswitch (or a 2 or 1 button) work with this amp, or MUST it be a TC Switch 3 ?

I would recommend using a TC Switch to avoid compatibility issues, but you could use a generic one.

A generic foot switch could be used, however, compatibility may be an issue.
