Excellent add on to drums or percussion rigs, price is badly out of reach for working drummers.

I'm a product of the 80's when sets were huge and drummers were worshipped as gods. I've had the low pitch set for a year now and can't imagine playing without them. I plan on buying the high pitch set in a month or so. I'll let you know what I think then. For now I'll just have to be happy playing the 16 drums and 12 cymbals I have now. Told you I'm a product of the 80's. Go big or go home. Rock on.

I've always wanted Octobans. I'm a big fan of kits with a good amount of toms, and in hearing other musicians play these, I knew they added a ton of diversity and increased the sound range in most kits. I ended up going with the 4 pack, and I've been slowly experimenting on how to incorporate the Octobans into various playing styles. I feel like I haven't even begun to touch the potential of how they can be used, but so far they are GREAT. When tuned to flow into your main toms, these can be used for extremely epic fills. I've also used them as a quick punch in a simple ride beat, adding a little diversity, but extreme personality to a very simple beat. On their own, I'm sure they have many uses as well. Overall, these toms have such a distinct sound that can be used on their own, or combined with a kit in a very unique way. If you're looking to add a range of sound and add some diversity to your kit, these will do it for you. So far these things are awesome, and I know I haven't even touched their full potential.

I got a set of Octobans ( high Pitch) to incorporate into my set of Pearl Reference Drum Kit.. With the Reference Kit being deep in tone.. the Octobans really bring out the higher pitch.. It adds some different sounds as well.. The Octobans produce sounds that cannot be made with a drum kit.. I think its the best addition to my kit.. and I will be looking to get the other (low pitch) set and incorporate that as well... Octobans---- a must for any drummer, who likes to drum outside the box!!!!!!!!
