TAMA

Description

The TAMA HT130 Standard Throne features an upgraded height-adjustment mechanism on the HT130 standard throne by increasing the surface area of the pipe-gripping clamp. Furthermore, TAMA replaced the conventional knob style bolt with an ergonomically designed wing bolt, offering optimal torque. Double-braced legs deliver maximum stability, and 3-1/2" of seat padding sets a new standard for comfort.

Keeps my butt off the floor

I had initially ordered the one on clearance but of course it was sold out. The throne keeps my butt off the floor and feels really solid. It has slipped a few times but for the most part it is great. Plenty of cushion.

Garbage

Weak grip; constantly lowers as you sit on it. You'll have to constantly adjust it which is hard. I ended up just throwing it away. I have a few thrones and this one is definitely the worst. I weigh 180lbs and it does not hold my weight.

I got it a little over a year ago; it turned out a little while ago that the cheap wood inside cracked! Not just that, it doesn't even stay up that well and falls down.

I purchased this seat from my electric set at home. I won't be giving with that I have a heavy duty Yamaha drone on my acoustic Tama that's quite comfy. So far this is been a good choice good quality low money just the way I like it. Again Tama is the strongest name is Drums! :)

  • Broke the first time I used it.

The seat underneath is made from a cardboard/pressboard type of material. I weigh 200 pounds and broke it the first time I used it.

This is fine for a kid's first throne but I don't recommend it for an adult. The post sinks even with everything tightened down.
