I would love them more if the two pair I ordered a month ago would finally show up.

I started playing the drums when I was 8 years old, I'm now 66 at the time of this writing. In all of my career I've been very sure handed with my sticks. In the last two years I have been having increasing issues with arthritis in my hands, so much so that my grip has been affected. I've had issues with the stick floating in my grip, stick position changes and dropping. I just got these gloves and they are amazing. I had my old grip, power and speed back. I got the Large size even though I usually wear an Extra Large glove, and it fit very tight like a layer of skin. the leather is very thin and after a few minutes you don't even know they are on. I just played a two hour practice set and there was not one instance of position change or dropped stick. The only thing that was negatively affected was my ability to twirl the sticks, but let's face it, with my arthritis, I lost that ability anyway and I'll take that trade off for the amazing feel and grip of these gloves. I'm actually looking forward to my Gig tomorrow playing in front of an audience for the first time with these gloves on. Its great for my confidence after the last two years of being concerned about my grip. I would recommend this product for any drummer but especially for older drummers who are having problems with their hands, this is a Godsend! Thanks TAMA. Remember, get a size smaller that what you usually wear, the gloves will stretch out to your size.

The first and only time I ever bought the black TAMA gloves was in 2018. I received new ones in the mail today, and I'm blown away. They are a huge improvement over the old ones. For starters, the old ones were always slippery unless my hands became warm and sweaty. Then they were also slippery inside, and so some (or sometimes all) of the adjustments I made for comfort didn't really *stay* adjusted. So say I pick up a heavy stand stand to move it: that action can twist/rotate the fingers of the gloves which can be distracting because then I can end up with the seams between some of my fingers and the sticks. Plus, I can feel the twists when I'm holding and manipulating the sticks or brushes or whatever I might be using. It's distracting. The new gloves completely eliminate these problems. Yep, they're grippy even when dry, and they're PERFECTLY grippy - unlike the extreme overkill grip of the white gloves, which are now discontinued. The level of grip they have is everything I have always wanted from drumming gloves. Then there's the interior: it's grippy, and so all of the adjustments I make for comfort *stay* adjusted because the material basically "sticks" to my skin. So these gloves are truly like a second layer of skin, unlike the old black gloves and the white gloves. When I ordered these, I thought I was ordering the exact same gloves as the old black gloves I bought in 2018, but this is a very pleasant surprise. I've been using the now-discontinued white gloves, but I switched to some different sticks that work much better for me. They happen to be painted signature sticks, and so the extreme grip of the white gloves on the painted sticks makes the gloves feel very sticky. It's good to have *some* friction, but the grip of the white gloves on painted sticks was extreme overkill for me, so I had to go back to the black gloves. When I went back to the black gloves, I decided to order another pair just so I wasn't always using my only pair, but since I didn't solve that problem with these much-improved new gloves, I'll be happily ordering another pair. These are almost the Holy Grail of drumming gloves for me. The only thing I'd change is, I'd add some kind of ventilation to the palms. The openings between the fingers is nice, but I've always wished the palms were ventilated too. Otherwise, these gloves are about 99% the way toward being my Holy Grail of drumming gloves!

I've always been weird and toss a couple sticks around when I'm playing. Decided to try out some gloves. These are like a second layer of skin and feel great! I haven't had any problem with them at all. They breathe well and don't get extremely hot or sweaty on my hands
