    I highly recommend this backrest; it is exceptional. I'm a guitar player, and I was looking for a great stool for playing in my home "guitar room," and I initially bought the hydraulic 1st Chair throne without the backrest. One a side note, all the other "guitar stools" were just a little to tall for my liking, and this stool provides a lower seated position without a need for a foot rest; I can rest my feet directly on on the floor. I initially hesitated to buy the back rest to save some money and hoped that the chair would be enough. Although the chair was great, I wanted better support for my lower back, so I bought the back rest. I'm very pleased with the backrest; it provides great support, and it was worth the extra money spent.

    This back rest is preventing me from scooting of the back side of the chair. After a few practices my back does not hurt me like it did.
