    This xlyophone is great . It comes with two sided mallets. One side is plastic the other side is rubber. It is about 12 inches long . Which is fine .The hard case looks nice and feels good for the most part. How ever I had to return the product because of the case . The front lock to close it was partly loose . They send it back and gave me other one. When I got the other one ,i had the edge of the case reglued by my husband. It was only one side. But now it is fine. How ever I wish the case was made of batter wood and needed no reglueing but what could you do . The black keys how ever was scratched, but that happened in the factory. I wish ther was no scratch's . It was going to get scratched any way when I play it . But I would of preferred to had to happen by me during usage. Over all I am happy with the xlyophone.this is why I gave it for stars. Look closely to details when you purchase it . The storage is not a problem. I know this because I have very little storage space.

    Unfortunately they are sold sealed in the package with the mallets so we aren't able to remove them.
