Exploring The Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster Models | Fender

Exploring The Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster Models | Fender

Description

The Squier Affinity Series Stratocaster HH is a beginner-friendly electric guitar that punches well above its weight. This Stratocaster has the iconic double-cutaway shape that Fender made famous, now equipped with dual-humbucker pickups for a beefy hard rock sound. The comfortable maple neck and laurel fretboard keep practice and performance enjoyable for players at any skill level.

Powerful Humbucker Pickups

The Squier Strat HH ditches the traditional single-coil pickups for a pair of humbuckers. The bridge pickup delivers a bold, crunchy tone that cuts through the mix, perfect for hard rock and metal. The neck pickup produces a warm, rounded sound ideal for solos and clean playing.

Iconic Body Style With Modern Sound

The Stratocaster's contoured poplar body is a familiar sight on stages and in studios around the world. This Squier model has the same comfortable double-cutaway shape but swaps in humbucking pickups for a tone that's primed for today's heavier rock styles. The result is a guitar with visual appeal for traditionalists but a voice all its own.

Easy Playability for Beginners and Beyond

A slim maple neck and 9.5" fretboard radius make the Affinity Strat HH a joy to play. The neck has a thin, rounded profile that fits comfortably in the hand, ideal for beginning players and small hands. 21 medium-jumbo frets provide ample room for bends and vibrato. Sealed die-cast tuners help keep this guitar in tune through long practice sessions and gigs.

Ready to Rock at an Affordable Price

The Squier Affinity Stratocaster HH gives you professional features at a beginner-friendly price. With a durable poplar body, dual-humbucking pickups and rock-ready specs, this Stratocaster has everything you need to develop your skills and find your sound. This guitar was exactly what i was looking for. Humbuckers and a whammy bar with a sexy strat body. It seems to be set up decently. My only real issue was that the strings weren't broken in/stretched so tuning was horrendous upon arrival. Besides that small inconvenience, everything was perfect.

I got one of these in the Burgundy Mist color. It's a beautiful guitar! I was very interested in a Strat-style guitar with only humbuckers. I must say, that for the price, the pickups sound very good. I'm guessing swapping them out for Seymour Duncans or DiMarzios would be an improvement, but probably not a big one. So I'll keep the stock pickups. Unfortunately, out of the box, the action was WAY too high, the intonation wasn't even close and the tuners were unreliable, at best. I ended up getting a pro setup and swapping out the tuners for Fender locking tuners. That cost another $180. So the total price of this guitar ended up being around $460. But it's still a pretty good deal, compared to what you'd pay for a Fender version of this (around $1,900). This guitar, with the new locking tuners and pro setup, plays and sound very nice.
