Sovtek EL84 Matched Power Tubes Medium Duet

Description
These are Sovtek EL84 tubes in platinum matched sets. Their platinum matching process consists of a 24-hour tube burn-in period followed by a bias (plate) current measurement in milliamps.
Soft, medium and hard style descriptions refer to break up modes of the tube for an overdriven guitar signal. Soft-rated tubes break up easier and earlier, yielding a heavier, harder distortion. Hard-rated tubes however will be cleaner, while medium-rated tubes fall in between.

These replaced the stock tubes in a Vox amp, and I immediately noticed more detailed sound, better harmonics, increased volume.

Got to me in just a few days. I put them in for the 10-year old Sovteks in my Peavey Classic 30 and ran it for several hours, perfect. I chose medium, as opposed to soft or hard. I didn't know there was a choice, so these are a safe choice, at a sale price, really good. (The old Sovteks still work, it's just a matter of them being 10 years old.)

I already knew what to expect but there's nothing like the song of fresh tunes. To me the Sovtek tubes are reliable. I don't change tubes real often but the Sovtek is my go to. Lots of bang for the buck.

These are the recommended tubes for Budda amps. They are reliable, sound great and are very affordable. I always keep a spare set on hand.

I have used numerous different brands of tubes in the past. Sovtek makes the majority of all the other brands that you see advertised anyway. These tubes are reliable. I love reliable.
Sovtek EL 84's

I recently purchased a pair of Sovtek EL 84's to replace the pair that came with my Fender Blues Jr. The original pair sounded great and held up very well. I've used their 6L6's in an old 1960 Fender Pro that I've had forever and was equally happy. In general I would say Sovtek makes a good reliable product. Apparently the people at Groove Tubes think so since the 12AX7's that Fender included in the Jr. say Sovtek under that cool red GT logo.
