Definitely better tuning than the regular Snark

I was not satisfied with the regular Snark because it was slow to respond and didn't provide a stable indication of tuning. After I tuned, I could hear that it was not really in tune. The Super Snark HZ is definitely faster and more accurate. I use it every time I pick up the guitar and it is much more in tune than with Snark. I tried the Hz mode a few times, but it really only works to 0.1 Hz for the low E and maybe the A string. The standard (non-Hz) mode is just about as good and faster since it reaches a visible stable value more quickly. I am happy with my tuned guitar now.

Frequency readout not as useful as you would think

This is a nice tuner and easy to use as all the Snarks are. The problem I have with it is that it describes itself as giving a Hz readout down to 0.1 hz resolution. I thought, "Oh, this will be great for characterizing and understanding intonation problems" . What they don't tell you until you read the paper insert is that it will only read Hz for the open strings and then only in order from low to high. Oops! Were we supposed to assume that from the description of the product (which doesn't mention it)?

I have many guitars and I play weekly at least three of them. This tuner is great. Haven't tried it on outside gigs yet, but I'm thinking that I'll like the display equally then.

  • I would buy these shoes again love this!

Easy to read, sensitive tuner. Clip is strong and stays in place. Tuner reads all strings w/o issue. Best tuner I've found so far.
