Outstanding

This tuner is as best as it can get. It can tune any instrument to the perfect note. We use this at my school to tune the band instruments. Horns, trombones, flutes and what not. I can even clip it on the F hole of my cello and use the vibration setting to tune it as well. And for my classical guitar too. While everyone in the band room is warming up. The metronome works well too! This is one sturdy tuner for the money. And works great!

Broke first time clipped to guitar

Looked great, reasonable reviews, liked the idea, BUT, it broke tyhe first time I went to clip it on my guitar. I found out later this is a common issue with these tuners. Spent a bit more to get a better tuner.

I've owned six tuners so far, not counting the built in ones on the guitars I've owned, and this is the best. I bought this one for my mandolin that requires precise tuning each time I play it. The Snark tuners deliver! Over the years, tuners have become more precise, smaller and are now emphasizing vibration rather than an internal microphone to determine pitch. You can be in a noisy room and still tune your guitar or mandolin, which was a problem with the earlier tuners that relied an internal microphone only. This tuner can do it both ways, so that you can place it on the headstock of your guitar or mandolin, or you can use it with a piano or other instrument without a headstock, by switching to the internal microphone. With its versatility, this is Snark's "top of the line, all instrument tuner". Other Snark tuners have only the vibration feature. What makes the Snark tuners so popular, generally, is the multicolor display which is pleasing to the eye and fun to work with. Additional features are the metronome and pitch calibration.

Read good reviews about the Snark tuner and decided to try it out. For the price it's an unbelievable value. Better still it works great and is really easy to use. Features: mic or vibration setting both work equally well in terms of tuning accuracy. I haven't used the metronome feature but I bet it would come in useful sometime. Quality & Reliability: So far it works really well and the unit seems to be built well. Look & Feel: It comes in red. At first I thought it was a little bright, but then I realized that I'm so used to misplacing things that it's just as well that it can be easily spotted. It also has a nice rubberized feel to it that makes it easy to and not slip out of your hands. All in all a great product that I would wholeheartedly recommend.

I absolutely love Snark tuners. I have three (2 red, 1 black) and they all are wonderful. If you're thinking of a clip on tuner the Snark is the way to go.

Have used with 6 string steel & nylon, 12 string electric, mandolin and banjo. Found it to work excellent on all. I would recommend this to anyone who plays seriously. Denny
