Shubb

collapse expand iconDescription

The Capo Noir Series banjo capo features a patented locking action which provides an unrivaled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place ... and removes it just as quickly.
The Capo Noir Series Banjo capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no retuning is necessary.

Precisely machined of brass and carefully hand assembled, this Shubb Capo Noir Series banjo capo is manufactured without compromise. Simply holding one in your hand conveys a sense of quality. Snapping it solidly onto a banjo neck, and then removing it, all within about one second, will confirm its reputation for excellence.

Works like a champ. Adjustable tension is a really nice feature! Install in 2 seconds, remove in even less time.

The shape is a bit awkward compared to most capos, but it does the job and it does it well.

  • Does the job!

Recently bought a used Gretsch New Yorker mandolin, but needed a capo. Once you figure out where to adjust the tension setting that I prefer I haven't had to adjust it again yet. Holds the strings fretted well and stays in place making for a smooth capo setting. Was looking for another style, but so glad I found this one!

I found this to be a very good capo, easy to use on my banjo. Good looking and very sturdy. Won't ever have to buy another since it is of good solid construction. I'd recommend to anyone. Shubb makes varoius capos for all instruments.
