Shredneck

Description

The Shredneck Practice Guitar Neck features a rosewood fingerboard, inlays, strap knobs, side dots on both sides, Shredneck tuner tips, and a gig bag.

The Shredneck is a small, portable practice tool for guitarists that provides the feel of a guitar, strings and frets. The headstock doubles as the body to provide a balanced feel.

Allows guitar players to warm up anytime a guitar is not convenient-in a car, train, plane, at the office, before gigs, between sets, watching TV or in anticipation of playing guitar. Use the Shredneck to work on scales, patterns and techniques, practice chord fingerings and movements along with building and maintaining calluses. The practice neck is modeled after the first seven frets of a standard electric guitar and is useful for acoustic guitar players.

While the Shredneck is strung for right-handed guitarists, it can be easily converted for left-handed players.

Awesome Quality

I just beginning to learning basic chords and scales. I am on the road with my job and spend lots of time in a hotel. It is not practical for me to bring along my guitar...so this product works out perfect. This thing is awesome. No noise, and I am developing muscle memory, finger control and learning the basic chord postions and scales. This is a great practice tool. I was blown away when I received it by the Quality of the product....I thought it would be more like a plastic toy but pleasantly to my surprise it was finished and put together just as well as some of the finest guitars. You will not be sorry for this purchase....

I bought this hoping to be able to use it in dead times when I am not near my guitar. It is just too much not like a real guitar neck for me. Only about 1/3 of a regular guitar neck and difficult to get it into a good spot where I felt comfortable using it. The other real klincker is that it can't be tuned so the experience is really VOID.

At first I thought these were a kind of a gimmick, until life got in the way and my actual playing time diminished to almost nothing. This helps to learn and remember your chord fingerings for when you finally do get back to your actual guitar. During lunch at work, on the couch or in bed with the TV on, whatever... Only thing is, you'll want to tweak the action to your preference or to match your guitar. It's not too hard; you take the strings off, carefully pry the nut/bridge pieces out of their slots, sand the bottom of the piece down until the action will be sufficiently lowered---careful; measure twice cut once---and put the pieces back in, restring, all done. I restrung mine with DR coated strings to stop corrosion because these strings probably won't get changed again; I can't see breaking one just working on chording and riff practice. Also, the factory strings turned my fingers black, LOL.

Nice travel practice neck. Available in multiple styles/colors. Fits in carry on bags no problem. Not intended to be tuned. Good for finger practicing and keeping calluses up. I use mine while on business's trips to keep my fingers limbered. I am an intermediate rhythm player who is also learning lead guitar and this helps with scale work. Wish it was 3 frets longer though.
