Our overwound Stack Plus design delivers the punch, chime, and sustain of a hot Stratocaster single coil without any of the hum

Description
Back in the '80s, Seymour Duncan patented a special bottom coil that actually injects negative hum into the pickup circuit. Alnico 5 rod magnets are used for authentic vintage tone and tappable 3-conductor wire is used for when you want to switch to true single-coil mode with lower output and more chime. At the end of the production process, they fine-tune each individual pickup for maximum noise cancelation, and each pickup is wax-potted for squeal-free operation.
This STK-S6 pickup is designed to look like a traditional Strat single coil, and it works great in the neck, middle or bridge positions. Or, you can pair it with their Classic Stack Plus Strat (sold separately) in the neck and middle positions. The STK-S6 Custom is handbuilt in Santa Barbara, CA.

I own a 2012 Fender American Standard. I replaced all three of the factory single coils with Seymour Duncan STK S6's. I have no 60 cycle hum! It is great to play in all five pickup positions even if I have some gain. I find that these pickups are quieter than my Epiphone Les Paul Custom. Full sound range on every string and every fret. I found the factory pickups to be uneven especially on the first two strings and the upper frets. The S6 is even and I am able to get great sound on the high high E ( 22nd fret bent up a full tone). But can you get the Strat tone? Yes and No. Out of the box, these pickups are darker and heavier. I had to decrease the bass and mid-range on my amp. I have been able to dial in some David Gilmour Shine on You Crazy Diamond tone but I am still looking for a little Sweet Home Alabama tone. I have only had the pickups for three days so let the adventure continue.
Great pickup, good price, wire gauge too small.

I replaced the stock bridge pickup in my 2011 American Deluxe, and this pickup is much quieter, and a little more powerful. It has a good blend of single-coil and humbucker sound, and much better controlled feedback with no microphonic feedback. They did use a very small-gauge (much smaller than the stock Fender) wire that was hard to work with and easy to damage. Other than that, great pickup at a good price.
