I bought this for the neck and a JB for the bridge to replace the stock Rockfield pickups in a Michael Kelly Patriot I have. It wasn't a huge improvement, which I think is because the Rockfield pickups are quite good. The SD set have perhaps a little more clarity and note separation, but not much more. They sound good in single coil mode as well. I also recently had a set of SD Seth Lovers installed in a semi-hollow and they are absolutely amazing pickups. I don't think you can go wrong with any SD product.
Great pickup
