Seymour Duncan

Description

Seymour Duncan's Black Winter Trembucker Electric Guitar Pickup was designed to be as dark as the winters in Scandinavia, a place where black metal still lives and breathes fire. If your favorite metal axe has a Floyd Rose or tremolo bridge, add this pickup in the bridge position for excessive grime and aggression, and crushing distortion. Naturally the Black Winter Trembucker comes in the only color worthy of something this heavy, black.

I put this in my SL2Q and man did it wake up my tone! Great lows and a very balanced mid / high combination.

This pickup is a unique beast. You could call it warm with alot of mids, but also call it bright and clear. It responds uniquely to my ears. At full blast it makes a crushing, gnarly distortion that some may even find to be too raw (but really love that about it). Alot of string clarity, you can hear the metallic snarl and string noise very clearly through this pickup. As an added bonus, dial down the volume and it cleans up remarkably well, the warmth remains and the character becomes alot nicer. You really have to try it to see how it works for you.

NOT JUST FOR EXTREME DEATH METAL!!! That's how they're selling it, but actually it's just a really nice, modern, HOT Duncan that sounds fantastic for any style of music... If you like an amazing, responsive lead tone, this is the pickup for you!!!

  • The Best pickup I've ever played on!!

It's one of the cleanest pickups I have ever heard!! I had mine installed in my B.C Rich Draco Ghost Flames and it sounds amazing on mine Krank Krankenstein stack and Randall rh200!!! Beautiful distortion and shocking sound excellent on the acoustics with no effect petals!!!!!!

  • if You love saturation than look no further.

The SD Black Winters are menacing and brutal. if you play Death metal, Black Metal, Prog metal ect. this pickup does it all. imagine if the SD Distortion went to Scandinavia and got bit buy a vampire and came back 20x better than it did before. i mainly got these to put them in my Jackson DK2M (white) and it already came loaded with the JB Jazz setup but i wanted more gain and more punch in the high end so i bought these for it. it definitely did that to my guitar the lows, mids and highs are all very clear in the bridge pup. it makes my ENGL Invader 150 sound like The Black Dahlia Murders album Nocturnal. the neck pickup is very buttery when you're going for that Yngwie Malmsteen sound. also, even tho these pickups are ment for metal. you can still play cleans very nicely with these. i'd highly recommend this pickup to someone wanting to add more saturation to there sound. so dont be afraid or cold in Scandinavia!
