The Antiquity II Surf for Strat is designed for any position. A Custom Bridge version is available for those players needing more output from the bridge position; and an RW/RP (reverse wound/reverse polarity) version is available for the middle position.

    I have about 20 years experience playing Stratocasters and have tried a lot of different pickups in my guitars because I enjoy exploring different tones etc. but, I think I have finally found the pickups I'm going to stay with. These definitely have a vintage tone. The bass is softer, the highs are sweeter. It comes down to the fact that you will actually feel a difference when you play. Compared to the Seymour SSL1's which are cleaner, these "surfers" have more soul, character, and dirt, but have less spank in the low strings. One word of advice: I do not use the little rubber tubes that suspend the pickups but metal springs instead. I almost threw these pickups away because I was so disappointed at first but thought I should at least try them with the springs that I used with the last pickups, and this made a huge impact in tone surprisingly. Now, I'm hooked.
