Description

The Schecter Guitar Research Omen Elite-6 electric guitar takes high-performance playability and tone to new levels of affordability. Featuring a figured poplar top with mahogany body, this ax provides a rich combination of warmth, resonance and sustain. Its maple neck with rosewood fretboard offers a thin C-profile, 14" radius and 24 extra-jumbo frets for lightning-fast solos and effortless shredding.

Heretic Humbuckers Produce Aggressive, Balanced Tone

The Omen Elite is loaded with Schecter Heretic humbucking pickups that deliver a tight, focused tone with crushing midrange. The bridge pickup's produce ground-shaking lows, while the neck pickup's series wiring provides thick, saturated distortion. A 5-way switch lets you choose from bridge, bridge/neck, bridge/neck in parallel, neck in parallel and neck in series for a range of tones from bright and cutting to warm and saturated.

Precision Components Enhance Playability

A Schecter Custom Hardtail with string-thru body offers solid intonation and sustain. Schecter Metal Knurled tuners provide precise, slip-proof tuning for consistent tone and performance. A Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut enhances resonance and brings out the natural harmonics in each note. The Omen Elite's components are crafted for accuracy and built to withstand the demands of high-intensity playing.
Sleekly Contoured Body Offers Playing Comfort
The Omen Elite's double-cutaway mahogany body is contoured for comfort, with curves and bevels in all the right places for unhindered access to the higher frets. This axe is lightweight enough for long sets without fatigue. The glossy Black Cherry Burst, See-Thru Blue Burst and Charcoal finishes provide a sleek, custom appearance reminiscent of high-end models at a fraction of the cost.

Out of the lower priced guitars this one feels much higher quality than any of the other lower priced guitars I have played or owned.. It certainly just feels like on of the more expensive guitars. It has a thin fast neck but not as thin as some Ibanez guitars. It is more versatile on tone than some of the Schecter guitars I have heard or played. It sits right in the middle. I recommend this to beginners who want something that feels more quality and easier to play than some of the beginner guitars. This guitar would be good for anyone. One of the best guitars for the money.

  • Very nice instrument!

I'm not sure how one customer could have received 4 of these that were all bad...maybe a bit of exaggeration, or someone who just doesn't know how to setup a guitar. I've been playing for 37 years now, and have owned countless Schecter guitars. This one is on par with the best of them. For the money, any other brand in this category cannot compete! The neck plays very well and the fretwork is great! The tuners are stable and the pickups are decent. IMO, locking tuners would be more desirable and the pickups could be a bit more robust and clear as well...hence the 4 stars. However, that said, neither HAVE to be upgraded in order to play this guitar live or in the studio. You may need to tweak your EQ a bit, but that's a small price to pay for this guitar's playability and quality build. Grab one before Biden raises the price!!

I have had to return this guitar and get a new one 4 times for various major quality control issues... the first guitar had neck twist and alarming amount of clear coat cracks on it new out of the box and the next 3 all had neck/headstock twist similar issues with either the clear coat and or binding being essentially unfinished

I have had the guitar for over a year now and I keep having to adjust the tuning rod and retune the strings multiple times to keep the guitar in tune. Any ideas?

In a case like this we recommend having a qualified guitar tech look at the guitar

I have owned this guitar since January and want to upgrade the factory tuners to a good set of locking tuners. I have tried to email Schecter directly but can't get their site to work. Is there anyone at GC that I can contact or chat with to see what options I may have?

What is the weight of this beauty? I have an ESP LTD Viper-400 and its headstock is heavy which puts stress on the left shoulder from the strap. Looking for a more lightweight axe that at least carries most of its weight in the body.

    Open Reply - Ronald
It's around 9 lbs, but it carries most of the weight in the body.

I was wondering what the difference is between the regular schecter diamond and the heretic pickups.

    Open Reply - Beau
The Heretic pickups product a somewhat heavier tone.
