Considerably larger than expected but WOW what trap case. The foam rocks, serious latches and I love the reinforced lock corners. Nothing around may survive a direct nuclear strike but I think my gear is going to be safe and dry.

  • I would definitely buy this product again.

I use this case for work to protect my clothes from the elements. This has been the best purchase I have ever made.

Finally invested in a heavy-duty rolling case for our assorted cables and a snake we recently purchased. This case is a great size (not too big to handle by yourself, not too small to hold a good amount of gear). This one maneuvers very easily even with a lot of weight in it. And it's the typical SKB high-quality, tough-as-nails transport box that you'd expect. There's a reason SKB Cases have a lifetime warranty. They are built to last.

I just got this Case and I love it. I have an acoustic duo and I use the Bose L1M2/B2 PA and I have SKB Carry Cases for the base and cylinders, so I was familiar with the quality of SKB Carry Cases. I was using two luggage cases for my miscellaneous gear like cables, lights and power strips etc. and these days I am all about trying to cut down what I carry to gigs. So I saw this case, figured out the dimensions and thought I could get away with just using this case, instead of the two pieces of luggage, which by the way were not hardy enough for the wear and tear of gigs. And I was right, plus the SKB Case is so sturdy, that I bet this thing will be used for many years to come, even when I am done using it. I highly recommend it and SKB in general! No need to buy the one with the Cubed Foam, I did and I do not use them, they take up too much room.

We have two of these. One to store music and the other electrical gear i.e. cords, strips, stand lights, aux.percussion,etc. Great having a box with the pull handle that allows you to pull without bending down to transport and turns on a dime. Excellent protection for music and equipment plus the waterproof and easy open/close latches. Best of all, they work as adverstised. Thanks to Guitar Center for having SKB products. Can't be beat!!

I am a full-time touring musician with Cirque du Soleil. Until recently, I was keeping much of my personal music gear in suitcases with the rest of my stuff. I found some damage to my gear, so I decided to get this SKB case for it. The pull handle and wheels work very well, and it rolls smoothly across pretty much any surface. The wheels are wide-set, too, so it is not at all wobbly like some suitcases are when rolling. The latches are easy to open and close (though there are 5 of them!) and seem very heavy-duty. I have only done one transfer, so unfortunately I can't comment on the durability (which I think is one of the main selling points). I will say that it looks and feels very solid, and I have confidence that it will take a beating and be fine for a good long time. It's a tank. I feel much more confident about my gear traveling in this case than I did with it in the suitcase! I wish I would have listened to my gut and gotten the SKB sooner! I probably would have avoided some damage to my gear! My only other comment is that this case is HEAVY. Empty (I got the one without any foam), it weighs about 20 pounds I'd say. Loaded, it's gotta be close to 100 pounds! That may be a plus or a minus depending on your situation. It has handles on 3 sides (not including the pull handle) so it is not too bad to manage. The extra weight is a disadvantage if you're going up a lot of stairs, of course. It's not bad at all to wheel around, though, even fully loaded. If you are in a situation where other people are handling your gear, heavy can be better - it will keep them from throwing it, or placing it on top of the pile where it can fall! For the price, this case is a very good buy. Cheap insurance, I'd say.
