Wasn't sure how stainless reeds would sound, but this low F sounds great. I'll probably be replacing a B flat next and I'll try the Seydel there, as well. Listen, if this baby has the life span Seydel claims it could be the last low F I'll ever need. That makes it well worth the extra money. Meanwhile, player-friendly features like rounded corners and comb slots show good attention to detail. I like this harp.

Sedel is quality- Shipping was fast and arrived in 3 days-TOO BAD they sent a LOW F when I ordered a G and didn't pay attention until I opened it @ rehersal and mysteriously began playing in the wrong key.... so I did make it through the weekend gig with a Horner special 20 "G" so I have to give low count to the review .... guess it is safer to go to the store rather than trust the stock-room staff!! At least the store people always appear to be seasoned musicians who understand the game. I still rely on GUITAT CENTER for my music needs- Harmonicas are a sideline- I play drums and they have always come through for me with years of business.... can't let on stock-boy send me across town THAT easy.. Put the cappo on- play in "F" and life goes on!!!!

Comments about SEYDEL Blues SESSION STEEL Harmonica:

this is definitely a very nice harp. very comfortable on the lips and hands, as well as on the ears. I primarily play Hohner, but I decided to try out a Seydel for once. This harp has a great tone and is very easy to bend. I was hitting some bends that made me feel like a regular James Cotton haha. I might replace some of my hohners... All in all, great harp. a little pricey, but so far, worth it.

Comments about SEYDEL Blues SESSION STEEL Harmonica:

The harmonica sounds and plays great. It costs a lot, presumably because the reeds are stainless steel and are supposed to last a lot longer. If they last as long as advertised, the harmonica will be a great value.

Comments about SEYDEL Blues SESSION STEEL Harmonica:

I don't know if the harps needed to "break in" the way one reviewer wrote, or if I just got used to playing them, but I have to retract my first impression. These are very well made harps with a precise sound and comfortable feel. I wouldn't select it to play Parchman Farm, but for Blue Moon, it's perfect.

Comments about SEYDEL Blues SESSION STEEL Harmonica:

I was surprised to find how stiff they are. They have little resonance and require a lot of breath. I also found the holes to be on the small side, but the cover plates were really comfortable. I guess if you like to wail on a single note, you might like these. I prefer tongue blocking.

Comments about SEYDEL Blues SESSION STEEL Harmonica:

I started with Marine Bands in the 60s, then Golden Melodies and Special 20s, next Lee Oscars for their replaceable reeds. After playing this Seydel I retooled my entire gig set and spares to the Session Steel. If you can't play this horn, you can't play.

A great sounding harp--hope it lasts as long as advertised.

Comments about SEYDEL Blues SESSION STEEL Harmonica:

I play harp in a blues band, and I love the Blues SESSION STEEL. The harps are well-made and the steel reeds sound at least as good as brass reeds. If they last as long as advertised, I will be completely sold. I now have four of these harps and my only complaint so far is minor--they take a little longer to break in.
