The Seydel Blues Classic 1847 Harmonica is first serial-produced Richter-diatonic harmonica with stainless steel reeds. It represents many innovations. but fits all traditional demands - a master's instrument for maximum ambitions. The 1847 is the result of Seydel's 160-year of experience in manufacturing high-quality harmonicas.

Key Features
¢ Full and loud, overtone-rich sound and extremely fast tone-response due to stainless steel reeds
¢ Very long durability and even with heavy duty playing - stainless steel reeds and stainless steel rivets
¢ Less air-loss due to fine-cut reedplates - optimized flatness and extremely small tolerances between reed and reedplate
¢ Beard- and lip-friendly - coverplates with rounded edges without any cuts at the mouthpiece and ergonomic built hole-openings and rounded dividers
¢ The overtone-rich sound can spread out undampened - covers made of extra strong stainless steel sheet (0.4mm), opened wide at the back and crimped and therefore a good stability and rounded edges
¢ moisture-proof, swelling-free maple-comb, sealed with multiple layers of food-safe finish

Best Harp Ever!

Many years ago I played harmonica and just recently got back into it again. Bought several Hohner and Lee Oscar and some were out of tune from the start. I have since replaced the bad ones with Seydel and couldn't be more pleased. In tune right out of the box! You can check them with a guitar tuner. I play guitar with harmonica in my solo act and put in about 2 hours a day rehearsing. So far no reeds blown. Seydel does it right!

The one lemon from the batch

I purchased a Seydel Super Low 'F' harmonica from Guitar Center last May. Unfortunately, after a very short period, the 9th hole stopped producing a sound. In fact, when I was practicing the instrument, a tiny metal piece came out into my mouth, presumably from that hole. I tried to contact Seydel directly to address the problem, but to date have received no response. Unfortunately, I cannot return the harmonica to Guitar Center since it failed just past its warranty period. Uff da!

Seydel are great. I have a few Homer and they are fine too but the Seydel have a more pleasing tone and feel better in hand. The quality is noticeably better. Love these things.

I play Hohner special 20 harmonicas. Never experience hair pulling. The covers are designed such That this never occurs. I would not recommend if you have a mustache.
